Official Braydon Trindall

Did they?

SC went from using Foxs stats to using NRLs. The comparison would depend on which is being compared, but I’m not sure if either changed?
Yeah you are probably right here. I guess it depends whose broadcast you are watching and whose stats provider set the record.

Tricky doing lots of good stuff by any measure.

I thought try assists were measured as before but that the try involvement stat had a broader definition.
I've learned somehting.
Maybe you haven’t…

I think bort is right in that they may have just explained the Fox vs NRL difference better rather than materially changing it.

i knew about the SC change but I thought there was a change on tries from kicks too. Maybe I am just confused.

Anyway.. back to Tricky. Going well.

I think fox and not sure about NRL you can sometimes have a double TA
The kicker and the bat down

Not sure if that definitively changed at some stage although would be a lot more common these days

Yeah this was the change I was referring to, but didn’t realise it still may be different across the two models.

If you put up 10 bombs previously and your team scored from a bat-back you could be on any amount of try assists between 0 and 10. Now you will definitely be on 10.

If I had Ronnie in SC and he batted back a Trindall kick I’d be pretty pissed off if Ronnie got 0 points for it. Awarding both seems fair.

Also a lot fewer tries now with no try assist applied… but I think that changed a few years ago.

Hope they don't change the definition of goal kicks. Don't want Nicho's record to be compromised or questioned!

Most ever try assists in the nrl is 40, does anyone think he’s an outside chance of breaking it? 5 games to go and his on 29

Dragons (a), Raiders (h), titans (a), eels (a), storm (h)

Absolutely he is imo.

Who holds the record? Was it Tim Smith from 2005?

Braydon Trindall was placed on report for late contact in the first half - no charges in the past 12 months, but his past three charges are all for tackles without the ball.

Maybe something to think about there Braydon.

Was unnecessary and dumb.

Obviously shouldn’t have anything to worry about from a charge sense

I thought he was on 31? From memory the first one yesterday to Brit got him to 29

Me too. Both halves are in amazing form right now and are great to watch.

Tricky is having a great year, though.

Yeah great year by Trindall

Could definitely still clean up a few small areas, but at 27 he even still has time to do that, and already improving in most areas. Definitely think his decision making in good ball wasn't always the best but has elevated this season.

While he didn't start last weekend the best he did settle into the game and end up playing well. Could have done without the late shot after the pass.

Likely on track for Dally M Five-Eight of the year

Watching him be the general and really getting into it has been enjoyable.

Playing well alongside Field Marshall Hynes

It's an interesting style we're playing when attacking their line and I think it suits Trcky a lot better.

Seems now we attack with a flurry of touch footy style running around the middle of the field, dancing and waving our arms and offloading until we've sucked in enough defenders to open things up for Nicho or Tricky. I don't know if it's Brailey calling the shots here but we always seem to have someone ready for the next run and plenty of support players. Nicho likely has a little probe, either with a short ball or run. Tricky gets a crack at some shape. They all seem pretty well organised in amongst all this choas. It's pretty impressive to do at the current error rate and proving next to impossible to stop. Plus it's fun to watch
