Official Braydon Trindall

He's always been a panicky sorta player never seemed completely comfortable or 100% confident in his abilities or what he should do in an attacking set but he has improved in FG for the most part

Still a bit of reserve grade about him in some of the stuff he does although plenty of players have thrown the ball over the sideline

He's hard on himself though, it's not like he accepts making mistakes as being normal or acceptable and it's rare that you don't see effort from him

He’s still only young and developing as a regular first grade half. You’d prefer he chooses the certain option rather than the incorrect one, but it’s all part of learning.

That's fair. I just can't see which direction he's developing in. That might not even be his fault... Baffling really.

I don’t think that’s an excuse any more. He’s 26 and played enough footy

Second full season in top grade, they just need to sort out how the halves play their roles or combine. Last year was his first real season and led us to finals and a prelim.
We are stuck with both halves for awhile, coaching team needs to work out what works best for each player and as a combo.
Get specialist coaches in to help also

We really should have been up by another try or two at halftime and I can't help feeling the lack of falls on Tricky. Long kicking great, defensively up and down, totally lost in attack. I can't blame pressure, poor ball or his outside men tonight. I just don't know what he needs... Maybe Will out the back as an option and just play to him if nothing's on or to the centres/2nd rower early to simplify things?

Every time he has the ball ATM his head be like:

I agree. I think we need to simplify things and give him clear viable options to fall back on when things get a bit frantic like that for him. Maybe break it right down to run, pass or kick for a bit. Have his outside men ready to act on either of those 3. Build from there.

Kind of like we did with Will this week. Getting Tricky invlolved early in some structured play might help

Almost a third of his games in the top grade are off the bench or at hooker.

He was this forums player of the year last year (not 100% sure but rolling with it), and a good number of people were fluffing his sack calling him the one who should be on a million dollars and wear the 7.

He’s a quality half, and 26 for a half is still very much developing parts of their game.

Nah Sifa won the award last season. Tricky ran 4th with Kennedy and Brailey in front of him as well.
