You can tell what a pre-season does for a player like BHU.

In previous years when he missed pre-season, he took 5 or 6 weeks to get his form back - by which time he got re-injured and had to start from scratch.

This year, after returning from injury he is back to full tilt after a game or two.

Now we just need him to stay injury free.

I think overall our team is in better physical shape than in years past.

With how inconsistent they've been (or consistently injured, take your pick), I definitely don't think we should hang on to both.

Yeah bit of water to go under the bridge until we think about that, depends on some younger guys being ready.

I reckon as long as at least one of BHU/Toby have a good injury free run we'll keep one on a reduced contract.

For sure
I think if one has a good injury free run though, you might not get them at a very reduced rate given the extra 12m+ in salary cap entering the league in 2027

True. Either way, if one proves their fitness we'd probably be OK paying their current contract or hopefully slightly less.

I'd agree but depends on his family situation, mum (blind) and grandma (cancer) lead to him backflipping on Warriors.
Depending on their circumstances and if his brother stayed in Sydney or moved back to Bali he may not be willing to leave Sydney.

If one of them kills if for the next season and a half I'd happily pay one of them their current salary or a tad less. We don't need to keep both, though.
