I liked Ava and how errors were pretty much non-existent in his game, he never let us down but on the flip side he rarely gave us a strong charge that broke the line or created a chance either.

Uele can make a big impact from the bench and nothing is stopping him tidying up his errors, discipline and fitness but it will take work and some time so he's still a work in progress.
Plenty of experienced bench forwards i.e. boogs are guilty of errors, penalties ect so it's nothing new.

Depends what sort of benchie forward you want - I prefer high impact with a bit of dynamic play and risk opposed to the solid workman type.
I still think we are a team built around playing off our forwards second phase although a fit Moylan in the 2019 spine was looking promising in terms of changing that while Val gave us heaps last season for instance.

uele is very good, he just needs nrl game time

I would prefer him on our bench than sorenson. Uele will take a bit of time to develop (he literally just needs minutes in first grade), but he has a lot of upside and made some good runs in the last game.

Preferably you have a one of each. E.g. 2017 we had Taga + Latimore. Taga was the high impact high risk guy. It was great when he was on but geez he had some shockers. With Latimore you knew what you were getting. A steady player who gets through his minutes without any errors is an asset to any lineup.

Woods is the hybrid (Fifita is too) where they do the work of the grinder, racking up tackles and runs, but can make the opportunity (or error) of the impact player.

yea that mix can give your bench a good balance if it's what your going for and you just wanna give your main liners a breather while having something a bit less predictable up your sleeve. Ava more or less took over the Latimore role last year but he's not longer with us.

Woods, Boogs, Williams can all give us fairly solid consistent bench performances but with the added bonus that they all bring skills and impact as well. not players I would call workman like so to speak
Sorro is our plodder as it stands be he is only there to fill a space and covering injury.

I would be looking to move away from boogs over time and run a bench of Woods, Williams, Uele and a hooker (jnr brails/Seggy). I think this sort of bench would be absolute quality and wouldn't give the opposition any sort of relief.

Prior is our main forward who needs to pull his finger out if you ask me. He hasn't be consistent since 2016 which is a shame because when he's switched on he's superb.

interesting way to look at them, I have similar thoughts above
