You don't know his personal situation though. What if it's something like he has a terminally ill parent in Auckland that needs care?

Could be many different reasons.
Nobody in a current first choice 17 would ask to go there for an opportunity so it would have to be a personal matter.

But if it's so pressing why would priority 1 be Warriors contract.
If it is urgent then ask for leave to go and then worry about trying to organise something. You wouldn't keep training with Sharks hoping they might agree to release you (likely after extensive negotiations with Warriors) if it is so urgent.
Maybe he is in Auckland right now, but last we saw he wasn't.
Could also have gone over xmas/new year break and asked for a release on return I guess, but again if he is only willing to go if he can get a contract it isn't that urgent.

Caleb is also contracted to us though (train and trial)
And lived with him as of early last year although that may well have changed now (but also given Caleb has yet to secure a full NRL contact decent chance it hasn't changed). So going to NZ for his wedding doesn't really correlate to a request to shift there.

Who knows. We'll have to wait and see.

If we wanted a forward from Warriors
Bunty Afoa is in last year of contract there so I could see them letting him go for BHU. Him and Rudolf starting together would be kind of glorious.
Kepu twins are meant to be pretty promising although I haven't really seen them, maybe you try get both them for Braden and Caleb.
Tom Ale presumably they'd let go for BHU in an instant, haven't seen much of him but pretty comfortable not too see much more.

Curran presumably still in hot water for punching a kids teeth out, not sure what the go with that is. Doubt Fitz would look that way though. Maybe why they would need a forward.
AFB they wouldn't release and given his issues not sure Fitz would try fight for it either.

Who knows. We'll have to wait and see.
Probably wait and see nothing

Warriors signed Isaac Liu to replace BMM.

Only way I’m letting uele go is if they give us one of Tohu Harris/AFB.

We need a prop already now. No way we should be releasing another one then leaving us 2 props short. Uele will turn out to be a good consistent player. His injuries haven’t been great. He shouldn’t of returned last year. Bloke literally played with 1 arm.

Maybe Braden found out that Fitz was bringing this guy in for the morning wrestle sessions

and that he'd refused to lay off the garlic

Uele quote from when he re-signed on 20 May 2022.

“It was reported I was happy to stay at the Sharks and play for nothing,” Hamlin-Uele joked. “But in all seriousness, I’m happy here at the Sharks, I think we have a squad that can really do something over the next few years and I never really wanted to play anywhere else".

Didnt his brother just get a train and trial deal ? So if it's family related does that mean both players want to go ?

I don't think we are two props short now. It is more we just need a Marquee prop.

Uele,
Hunt,
Kafusi
Toby
Finucane
Williams
Hazelton
Jesse C
Mc Innes (lock)

All play middle. Talaki can play middle at a pinch. It is more we are missing a standard star prop.

Almost all of those guys play as if they are wearing #13. Hunt and Hazelton are the only guys who play like "normal" front rowers. E.g. I think there is very little difference between the way McInnes plays and the way Williams plays. Cam can just do it for longer. Also, Jesse C is the Jets version of Finucane. Lots of tip-ons etc. and high minutes. Has the size/shape to be a prop but plays very much like a 13.
