So does this actually mean anything?

Brailey travelled 10,243 metres at PointsBet Stadium, 241 more than teammate Matt Moylan who was the next best in round 20, and across this season the effort has been bettered only by Dragons player Tyrell Sloan's 10,287 metres in round 2.
No.

That playing 88 mins means he ran further than guys playing 80 mins?

If you paid enough you could get them to run 'The Chadley's Checklist' and rank players on things like having their socks pulled up.
Often very underrated
"Pull ya socks up, ****!" had to come from somewhere & god damn it I'd like to believe it still means something today, Harold!

Someone beat him to it.

My grandfather hated it. Drove him nuts & put me in hysterics pointing them out to him. Even when he had dementia I remember us watching a RLWC and him noticing the socks but getting mum confused with his dead wife.

My coaches used to say "look good, feel good, play good". Your socks might fall down during the game, but running on to the field to start the game with socks down or jersey out was a big no-no.

Did you use electrical tape to keep them up?

Sure did. There used to be this thing called legs-tackling though, so the socks would invariably slide down during the game when someone was wrapped around you.

If you go visit your local museum they might have a diorama of this ancient practice.

I once had a team manager just obsessed with making us the most kitted out for her photo ops despite the fact we couldn't get within spitting distance of a win. She would skimp on tires and batteries so we could turn out in a different kit each day while every other team just wore the one outfit all week.

I noticed when De Belin put his mouth guard into his socks (not pulled up) he actually had to pull his socks up, slip the mouth guard in the push them back down again!

Don't know if I wanted anyone handling my tires but I definitely could have used a few battery changes while I was playing. Must have had similarly tight managers

When my son played u7's soccer they mandatory polo shirts on game day, and mandatory training kits which were different shorts, socks and jerseys to game day. Polos were $60 and training kit was $90. Yep. Under 7s.

JDB stuffing anything in anything (or anyone's anything) is a minefield for me respond to. If only Jarryd had have packed a mouth guard in his sock.

I never had to pay for kit. All sponsored but that kitty was limited & coulda been spent way better.
