Official Blayke Brailey

I'd give Nikora another rest, that was a big game, plus a couple of head knocks.
Makes sense. Plus it sounds like he's a bit of a confidence player, so I'm not sure how he'll take the loss... might need to work it based on if it's better for him mentally to play or not

Yeah I dunno, that's a pretty poor reason to miss a game for a professional athlete imo.

I mean more that if he's not 100% fit it still might still be best to get him some game time to get past the disappointment of his last start.
Basically the same approach @apezza uses in the boudoir

See how they are tracking but assuming all feel good

- start AFB and let him carry his momentum, easy enough to manage his minutes down a little through game if needed
- bench Blayke for Pep, just with the arm and under fatigue I'd let the sting come out of the game a bit before putting him in, like storm have done with Grant
- bench Nikora, again just conserves him a little but also gets Burns some guaranteed minutes before he goes into a middle rotation Pep is also joining

Bench is Hazelton/Colquhoun, Blayke, Brit and Talakai

Hiroti and Kaufusi become the unused bench reserves, Berrell, Stoney and Tuks out

We play Friday next week so for those 3 it's 3 games in 9 days so it's worth managing their minutes here, and if they are a concern at all or feeling fatigued just rest them, we can cover them all well enough to still be in it if people play well (/smart).

I agree with this. I'd 100% be playing Nikora even if its just for 25 minutes off the bench.

if this is the case i'd say talakai is the one who sits out..

hazo, JC, brit, blayke

Fox rate Brailey a 5.5/10 - apparently him and Tedesco who got knocked out were NSW equal worst players
(besides a Strange cameo 4/10)

Worse than Koula, who at fullback let two bombs bounce and nearly cost NSW the game.
Notably worse than Bostock who had 3 errors and was lucky it wasn't 4 with one wiping a try.
Robson got a 6.5 for finally unlocking his running game but Blayke had same amount of tackle breaks and offloads, in just over half the time.

Couldn't have at least called him a 6/10?

(if anyone wondering but doesn't wanna click the link, AFB got 6.5, so he was equal with Barnett, with the two being notably worse than every other forward, all on 8s)

Really just posting it just to post it because I don't think I've ever seen a fox rating article I have agreed with haha

Deary me how could they possibly rate Barnett and AFB the same???

I also love* how they justify their rankings with the same meaningless cliches (admittedly, they are trying to keep it short and sweet, which does limit their options)

Per the ratings comments, the following players did their job or what was asked of them
Crichton: 7/10
Moses: 7/10
Yeo: 8/10
Blayke: 5.5/10
Strange: 4/10

(AFB didn't do his job or what was asked of him, he 'answered his critics with a strong effort' 6.5/10)

*hate

Be interested to know the formula
Maybe do your ratings, then pick 4 to add or subtract 0.5 to, and three to add or subtract 1.0?

That should mean absolutely nobody can ever look at it and not disagree with at least one rating, and disagreement nets more interest than agreement.

Take their actual player ratings.
Reduce the winning teams ratings by a factor of their winning margin.
Write an article about the ratings. Post on Fox socials. Write an article about the fans reaction. Talk about the article about the reaction on NRL360. Get Tallis and Dogman (forget the journos name/nickname now) to fight over it.
Write an article about the fight. Post that on socials.

That's like 6 pieces of content from one player rating piece!
