Getting out of dummy half more often, even if not winning a pen or making a line break, and creating a bit of doubt in the defenders minds really helped us and gives the halves more time. Hope he keeps it up.

Look at the 2012 GF, dogs died because Melbourne knew they didn’t have to worry about ennis as he was playing a passing robot

Blayke's stats show how well he is playing -Nearly 300 receipts ahead of 2 nd place Egan, 2nd to Egan in dummy half runs and equal first in number of tackles with Souths Marsoulas (?)

Yep he excels at the two core pillars of hooker work, consistent clean service out of hooker and making your tackles in the middle.
He's probably the best in the NRL across those.

Unless we are going to run a utility who genuinely may come on for him if he's tired I can understand why more games than not he may manage his workload when it comes to extras like runs.

Do people consider the extra hooker on the bench a forward? I get that they are one technically, and sometimes spend time going on at say lock, but does that make them a forward who can play some lock or the other way around?
It's different per player, sure, but they're still not a true forward rotation in my mind...

Did I just bort bort?

I can’t speak for people
I’d call them a utility often but depends on the player.

If we had Healey I wouldn’t call it a 4 forward bench… if we played Berrell though maybe, even though both ‘true hookers’
Obviously a Havili, Jazz, Erin are all some shade between hooker and lock but I have them all much closer to lock and happy to call them forwards

Enormous. Kept us on the front foot against a side which has mastered tying up the ruck.

Was awesome... But AFB, Kaufusi and BHU (and co) gave him plenty of time and space.

He’s had a few great games this season but I thought tonight was his best - absolutely killed it. Outplayed Harry Grant, no mean feat
