I don't think brails expected him to carry half the opposite 30 metres

Don't disagree but it helps if you have players that can reliably kick field goals which we do not and it also helps if the ref keeps the defense onside (which is questionable).

The tigers couldn't slot one either and they were less shambolic than us in those closing stages

We had 3 (maybe 4) out there that could kick a field goal
Nicho, Tricky, Atko (maybe Brailey himself) if we played smarter.

****, you could have had 3 of them for Brailey to choose from standing back, all set waiting to take a shot.
Keep the defence guessing by Making it harder for the defence to know who to run at!

Just watched highlights of KLs try. This guy's pass from dummy half in the right cnr to nicho in front of the posts , nicho goes to Kennedy who gets tackled almost on the opposite tramline.
He makes it to dummy half from almost 60 metres away to deliver a ball for nicho

Even in his ‘quiet’/‘bad’ games he’s does a remarkable job of his base role, tackle and provide clean service from hooker.

Probably the best in the game at the basics of the job and that does positively impact us even in games he doesn’t get the runs or other impacts.

Tigers game where we could critique his decision making was a massive outlier imo

Watching some of the replay this morning. My god, he was good last night. Some of his scoots from the dummy half put the opposition on the back foot. That allowed Nicho to do his thing, particularly that first try. His quick service was spot on. When Brailey is on, Nicho is on.

We went close regardless first with Hazelton and then Atkinson. Factor in the drop goal hitting the post, there were plenty of opportunities for us to win.

Yes, but we could have/should have iced that game before extra time.
BB made some questionable decisions at the time in the 2nd half with the breeze behind us. He did it again in extra time.
I think if he could, BB would have made different decisions
(I know it sounds like a “but in hindsight“ type of line, but I reckon he regrets those plays)

Not disputing that, and hopefully he's learnt his lesson (FitzyTM) but I don't think it was as bad as most seem to believe.

Because he plays against a different team each week. Some, he can unlock, tougher teams he cannot.
