Official Billy Burns

So just to clear things up - the rumour is that the Bears have a 3 year offer on the table for Burns & now the Titans are putting an offer together to match or better it.

Burns wants to stay with us however from what's being said - we can't get close to the other offers he's receiving.

As Sparkles says above - I don’t have time to read socials , gossip columns etc.

I like reading his stuff - that’s all ..

That’s great mate. I used to be critical of you doing it because others just took your rumors for granted that they were 100% correct. Some don’t seem to be able to differentiate between what’s rumour and what’s fact.

But, in my ever increasing old age, I’ve changed my tune. Happy to read everything you post and I really appreciate you doing it.

Not @Gumby fault how seriously people take the stuff he passes on. Don’t shoot the messenger and all that.

WIth regards to my post earlier re Burns to Titans, i never once insinuated that he'd actually signed, only that he, along with Hiroti who has been announced, would be a great pick up for them, as he wont cost the earth, yet is a hard working, versatile player.
 
I don't think anyone has any issues with Gumby sharing rumours (...maybe Billy). I certainly wasn't criticising it when I asked SI to clarify what he said about strike rate. I was just asking what it was a strike rate of.

Either way I don't hold the validity of shared rumours against Gumby, we wouldn't call it sharing rumours if the expectation every one is 100% certain.

Chad misinterpreted what Punisher meant, and it was written in a way that was definitely possible, but I think most read it as intended - and that will happen on the internet

Not a case of misinterpreting it mate when it was written the way it was. But my intention for 2026 is to not get carried away by these things anymore. I will just scroll on in future unless I’m totally bamboozled of course! 😆
