You don't think it's completely unacceptable the entire coaching staff and team had no idea that we were out if we lost by 12? These guys get paid hundreds of thousands and they couldn't work out a few math statistics?

My point is if they couldn't even work that out for the nines what are they missing in the real deal comp?

"Sigh"

Geez, I agree with you and you still want to get stuck into me.

Mate, I don't want the losing culture either but you're carrying on like my six year old when he drops his ice cream.

Let's just see what happens after the first four rounds and then we'll chat.
Hope you're at Shark Park Round 2 and we'll have a beer. Or in your case a Valium. :p

Although a disappointing end, people seem to forget it's just the nines. We made the finals last year and started the season off terribly.

Nines this year, proved its purpose.

Bird will prove to be a damaging centre. The solo try in the first game was evidence that he can spark opportunities on the edge from
nothing.

Barba has his confidence back, showed safe hands, good positional play, attacked the line and found the holes. His defence was caught out a few times, but that's understandable considering the structure of the nines. Barba has proved his defence when it matters, my biggest concern was that he's lost his speed and flair which I was happy to be proven wrong.

Taga was disappointing. He was damaging in previous years in the nines. Made no impact and had too many unforced errors.

D. Fifita impressed me. Ran hard, straight and burst though the line multiple times and with continual improvements to match fitness will be quite a handy forward for us.

Chad was the most impressive to me. Took control of both games. Was involved in everything, great defensive reads and had a strong running game. I've got no doubt he and Maloney will form a great partnership in the halves.

Mcllwrick had played a good tournament, it's good to see we've got good depth in our hooker department between he and Brown should injury hit Ennis.

Leutele played well and consistent. Just lacks that X factor about him.

All in all, makes me adamant that Barba has to start at fullback, bird to the centres which leaves Val another year on the wing to break all those try scoring records.

We're in for a good year Sharkies 🍻
top post mate. Would rep if it made a difference

Not sure what everyone was expecting considering the side we took over there. Having a slow hooker like we did doesn't help as well as having zero pace in the side and no forwards offloading.

Our hooker was one of our better players all tournament and warriors had robson at hooker at times and went further than us.

who had Johnson to pass it too, we had Chad. they also had a team full of speed and mobility

Having a playmaker who is light on his feet is very important. Chad isn't built for the nines

Johnson had speed and skill all around him for 3 years now and cant deliver. He doesnt deserve his spot in team of the tournament and we looked hopeless without chad the last game

Capewell looked like the best of the new bunch and to rest a new guy and let a loser like brown play for no reason at all? Flanno just being himself. Getting rid of chad forced barba to play first receiver and that doesnt work for barba

If we don't bring home a trophy, the next best result is leaving the tourney injury free.

Congrats to Parra. Lets just hope that you don't start the season on -4 cos that would just be plain embarrassing
