I think perhaps the only issue then with Flanno would be, what is he doing behind the scenes that no-one knows about? Has he lost all credibility? If they put in place boundaries, like was done before during his ban, is he going to say yeah sure to following them but then blatantly disregard them the moment he is out the door.

Stupid once, you forgive. Surely he cannot be stupid twice to ignore a ban?

He is the kind of guy that begs for real punishment. Slaps on the wrist just make him feel more entitled.

The word is that there will not be a fixed period of punishment.

He will have to prove himself to a be of great moral character and a true leader of men ...

Like Todd Greenburg ...

Create a few gmail accounts, get him a phone in someone else's name and a VPN to be sure then re-sign Flanno. Win another comp and laugh at the outrage.

How they didnt do this 1st go round is beyond me. I go to more effort to hide me identify downloading a game of thrones episode than the pinheads did defying NRL sanctions.

Yeah even the dumbest of dumb ****s I know can make fake accounts.

Surely they all couldn't have been that clueless. Makes it seem more like a big "lol get ****ed" to the NRL and their ability to find or do ****.

Seriously, **** Flanno. He has had too many chances and is obviously a very slow learner.

Great coach though and they're too rare right now. Even if you didn't like the style of play it ****en worked. His recruitment was second to none, not only got big names but at a bargain too. The only coaches better or equal do their thing with massive budgets at teflon clubs. That cheapskate mongrel was the perfect fit for us.

Yeah get what your all saying but it isn’t all flano a fault like if he was emailing the club surely a respectable CEO would say “Flange we can’t make contact until your ban is finished” end of story. It’s a two way street. I am confident that with Barry at the helm Flani would fly straight because otherwise Barry would bloody self report again.

It seems like a lot of chances but everything he’s done wrong is all over about a 2 year period between 13-14 which was within his first few of years as head coach, in a situation where the club had no structure, no proper CEO, the place was a shambles. Since 2015 when we had structure he hasn’t really done anything wrong. I think now, with the club where it is, flano could still coach for many years and fly straight.

Some good points there.

yeah I just would hate us to throw our first premiership winning coach to the curb for some issues we had when the club was in a really bad place and all he was doing was trying to make the best of a bad situation. Stupid? Yes, Ignorance? Perhaps. But I don’t question his passion for the club, just seemed misguided then, but 2016 proved he is a classy coach and when the NRL see success they seem to push them down unless it’s for one of their golden children

It’s not like he ****ed up once, came back for a few years, then ****ed up again.

It’s all the same **** up.

Not really. He ****ed up while serving time for his **** up.

True.
But it was during a period of great stress for himself, his staff and his playing group. People who he cared greatly for and wanted to keep supporting during our darkest hours!
He didn’t kill anyone, he didn’t hit or hurt anyone, he didn’t steal anything, so the punishment needs to fit the crime.
Was what he did stupid? Maybe.
Does he need to accept responsibility for an error in judgement? Probably!
Does he deserve to be deregistered? **** NO!
The NRL is acting like a guy with a fast car (and small dick).
They want to look powerful but it’s all wind and bluster with a lot of Chest beating and posturing to show everyone who’s boss!
Fine him, suspend him for 3 - 6 months and move on and let him come back.
Hopefully common sense prevails and the above punishments happen and we as a club stick by him.

He committed the heinous crime of making the NRL look like the clueless incompetent ****s we all know them to be. Should be facing a firing squad to be honest.

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that he wasn't sitting at home scouring gumtree for cheap jousting sticks quietly waiting for his ban to end.

Think I remember Gal or someone at the time saying something like "yeah I've spoken to Flanno, we're mates, we talk"
