each to their own but he is still a dynamic player, fast and elusive

Yeah, 5 or 6 games a season, that doesn't warrant decent coin.

The bloke is still dining off ancient history form, hopefully we don't come to the table unless it's strictly on our terms.

our squad is practically set, so whats the issue? is it your money?

I think the issue is that the money can be spent better elsewhere. Let's say it is $500k-ish we had to spend - another year of Segyaro plus an extra depth guy out wide would be a better result IMO.

Hayne at Sharks would be the best chance he has had in the NRL to succeed. He had to carry parra first time round, titans are a rabble (granted Haynes attitude didnt help) and since returning from injury this season has been good for Parra

Flanno would be the best coach he has worked under at club level as well. Even if slowing down these days he provides some raw ability and utility value. Would rather pay a little more and take a chance on Hayne than bring in a plonker (or rely on the plonker candidate we already have on books)

Newcastle rumored to be offering Klemmer 4.6m over 4 years.

Yeah he's a good player but that's ridiculous.

That’s just desperation! Not worth anywhere near that. I agree he is a good player but he’s half the player Fifita is, whom we pay much less than that.

Klemmer had an excellent year, was one of the best forwards amongst the clubs. He is worth good coin on that form but that alleged offer is inclusive of the Newcastle overs tax which for normal clubs is like -30% less
Knights do need quality forwards but they should be careful to spread it around the pack and not put it all into one bloke

Mobile phones taken from club directors over salary cap breach investigation. Surely they would of replaced them if they had done dodgy **** on them.

Titans were a top 8 side when Hayne arrived. They moved in form players out to accomodate him and he returned the favour by orchestrating a coup to oust the coach and turning in garbage displays on the field. They are a rabble in part BECAUSE of Hayne.

Hayne won't be getting Flanno the punt

Yea Titans made the 8 - THAT season, still a rubbish club, havn't kicked on in the following years regardless of damage done by Hayne and they still have some good players at their disposal

If Hayne's a problem for us we drop him, he will find a release and somewhere else to go

Klemmer will be at the knights next season from what I’m reading. 1.2 mil a year is just ridiculous.

What following years? He played for them in 2017, was paid over $100k in the 2018 cap, and asked for a release well after the Titans had any real options on the open market. The damage done by Hayne includes 2018.

"Cap" and Collar $400k flat Contract, Internal performance incentives capped at $500k Declared perhaps. Anyway I wouldn't want him for much over $400k

This would be how most contracts would work. When we read stuff like "Dugan signs for $750k" that would be comprised of a base of 60-70% of the total plus match payments and bonuses. The player only makes that reported amount if they play every game and make all of their bonuses. Dugan I'd expect probably only counted on the books for $500-600k.

Hayne came to the Titans in later part of 2016, the year they made the finals against Brissy, then Hayne missed about 1/3 of 2017 injured on the sidelines. He helped win them some games and he helped tank them some games but the Titans are still a joke who have been disappointing since showing promise in 2016 and ultimately getting reamed by the refs at Suncorp - that's not just on Hayne. They had space for Hayne only cause DCE back flipped on em ut ultimately they have under performed. rabble before hayne got there, during and after

Regardless we shouldn't assume he would have a negative moral/performance impact at the Sharks without the coaching staff at least sitting down with him. Tell him if he acts like a **** Aaron grey gets your spot, that should keep his ego in check
