More Matt Moylan shenanigans in the smh.

Two different articles. They claim tensions have eased at the Panthers and he is keen to stay, that Manly aren't interested anymore, the Sharks and the Tigers are, the Sharks think they can fit Moylan and Maloney under the cap and the Panthers have set a 250k transfer fee if he wants to leave. Sounds like he's staying a Panther to me.

Sounds a lot like the Panthers have established a starting point for negotiations to me.

If the Sharks or anyone was interested in Moylan they should play hard ball, the Panthers can keep him if they wish, he's under contract anyway, they'll just have to face the fact its extremely unlikely that they'll be able to hang on to Tyrone May & Dylan Edwards cause the wage there on now is unders.

How Moylan could be Sharks Fullback next year
SOURCE : Sporting news

HOW CRONULLA CAN ACCOMODATE MOYLAN
There's a major misconception in the land of rugby league when it comes to Cronulla and Matt Moylan.

The belief that James Maloney will be let go for the Sharks to sign Moylan couldn't be any further from the mark.

In fact, if Moylan does move to the Shire , Maloney's combination with the Penrith ace will be key to the Sharks revival in 2018.

Cronulla are one of very few clubs, prior to the NRL's new $9.4m salary cap for 2018 being set last August, who were smart enough to organise their entire roster into a much lower cap, leaving them with close to $700,000 to spend once the new salary cap bar was set.

It's why the Sharks have no interest in letting Maloney go, with enough cash to also easily lure Moylan to the southern suburbs where he could play in the halves and indeed, fullback

That would be good.

Play him at fullback and if Maloney doesn't smarten up Moylan can play 5/8 for the back end of the season

I like it , a ball playing fullback like Barba is just what the doctor ordered .
Although it might ruffle Val's feathers as he no doubt does deserve his shot to improve in that position .
