More Matt Moylan shenanigans in the smh.
Two different articles. They claim tensions have eased at the Panthers and he is keen to stay, that Manly aren't interested anymore, the Sharks and the Tigers are, the Sharks think they can fit Moylan and Maloney under the cap and the Panthers have set a 250k transfer fee if he wants to leave. Sounds like he's staying a Panther to me.

I didn't think the NRL allowed transfer fees (as such) between NRL clubs.

Yeah, don't know. There was a heap of weird **** around all of that.Broncs had to pay dogs didnt they for Barba?
Under NRL rules, a transfer fee between any of the 16 clubs would be exempt from the salary cap, however the club gaining Moylan's services would have to pay an additional 50 per cent loading fee to the governing body, which goes into the player education and welfare program.

.Sounds a lot like the Panthers have established a starting point for negotiations to me.
how about we put a $500k transfer fee on Maloney ?
That would be good.
Play him at fullback and if Maloney doesn't smarten up Moylan can play 5/8 for the back end of the season
