Taga can piss off. We have that Wests fella next year and Latimore as well assuming he stays.

I'm quite liking Paulo for his utility value. I'd like to see him stick around for another year as long as he's happy to play the same role going up/down between NSW Cup and first grade etc. but I reckon he could be a regular in the 17 elsewhere though.

Assuming Heighno leaves I reckon we only need to keep one of Taga/Latimore - not both of them. Seumanufagai can't be any worse than Sene-Lefao was as a part time bench option and we managed a couple of big wins with JSL in there. Give Kurt Dillon one of those 27-30 slots @ $70k and he can be the emergency backup plan.

I'm looking forward to seeing Ava off the bench, think he'll add some much needed size and aggression off the bench next year. Not expecting him to be amazing straight up but I think he'll be an upgrade on Taga/Latimore that's for sure. Not even in question.

I must be in the minority because I've liked what I've seen of the tigers prop. Runs straight and hard and makes his tackles, perfect for a bench prop.

Yeah i dont mind him as a bench option. Flanno to give him a simple job. Taga has been alright this year with his few opportunities but does love a dropped ball

Knights have made a major play and could table a large offer? Well Newy are breaking the rules.......if they table an offer to entice him out of a contract they are breaking the rules that their owner (the NRL) have in place. You cannot offer a deal to a player in order to get them out of a contract. After october this year he is fair game for 2019 on though

I thought the Storm have publicly giving their blessing to release him early which means its all ok?

What? Im talking about Newy offering Maloney a deal.

As for us, if we are wanting to sign Cronk, we'd need more than 600k to get it done, why not just pay up to maloney?
