We can't punish him, and the integrity unit can't punish him.

well yeah he did. anything that happens that brings the came into disrepute is breaking a rule. Maybe not the law. But players have a code of conduct both on and off the field. Carney broke that

Yeah, but this went on 3-4 months ago, and until thursday when the media became aware of the police warning, who knew? Who thought twice about what was written on his armband? Not me, i didnt even notice, because every single player writes something on his arm. i think they said it was 6 games he did it, if after game 1 he was pulled up then its all done and dusted.
