I don't mind the sticking up for a mate defence but Thurston was fair dinkum nearly lining up the conversion by the time dfaf got involved. Made it look a lot worse. Anyway, I thought it was his best SoO yet - plenty of hard running and solid in defence. Well done him.

I love your signature there brently.

Agree with what you said too. It was dumb. But you take the bad/weird with the good when it comes to Feefs.

1 week for that when he got 10 minutes off. What a joke. Corey Parker gets the same sentence. To me there was not a great deal of difference between what Parker did to Tedesco to what Les Boyd did to Daryl Brohman. Parker is very lucky he didn't break his jaw or cheekbone. Protected species!

I know this wont be popular & its against the majority but he's got himself to blame, I have shark goggles on at the best of times or as much as anyone but he left himself open to copping exactly what he got.

I can understand people using this or comparing this to other sentence as a eg, Marty Tapau getting the same is a absolute joke but Marty needed to go for a spell, he got lucky, Fifs didn't on that comparison but for the offence he did, I can cop that.

You cant have a bloke running 30 plus metres & doing that, if he got off on that you'd have every second player doing that this weekend, I'm just hopeful the sharks brain trust are already into his ear about discipline, what Fifs did wont go unnoticed & you can be sure come finals time they'll be trying to bait him into another brain snap.

you can't but he's not the first player to run in like a ********. Third man in has been doing it for years without punishment

You could get away with it previously but they have really cracked down on it in the last 12-18 months, granted he didn't throw one but he man handled him & the refs or NRL will justify it by saying that's how melee's start.

Come on Danga, Les's was a lot worse than Parker's. By a long way.

I'm just grateful we got out of Origin injury free. Never thought I'd say that...

I couldn't agree more. There is no way he was ever going to get away with that, and more to the point, imagine if such an incident causes us to get punted from a sudden death final . Better to learn such lessons now IMO when it doesn't matter that much.

He came back an infinitely better player after the incident at the junior league match last year. Whilst correlation does not imply causation as the timeless observation goes, I think a suspension could do him a world of good here.

Anyone else notice Smith's chicken wing on Gal around the 10th minute.

Protected.

Yep, Gal sort of chased him a bit after it, I actually paused it, went on slow mo a few times, Smith is so damn sneaky @ stuff like that, I am sure the MRC looked at like I was & you cant say for sure he did it but you'd assume he was doing something like it.

Good post I agree, fifs should also count himself lucky that blues got the win if qld put on a couple of tries while he was off the feild, public sendiment would be a lot different I think. They always need someone to blame usally the refs but they got a nice run from them game 3, fifs would have been the one, Gould would still be going on about it.
