yep, he needs to pick his moments to milk a penalty.

a) he is known for milking, and **** play the balls, he doesnt get much love in the ruck from the refs, and i guess rightly so. He is pretty bad
b) his body is that big, that when he flops to the ground or whatever it looks awkward and deliberate.

A fast play the ball is always great, but you have to be able to execute it

I reckon what is really pissing off the refs is that he drops the ball in an attempt to force their hand.

They have to make a decision on whether there was an infringement.

Wonder whether they've thought about doing what they do with the late passes and say the equivalent of "I called held, now go back and play the ball". (guess things would degenerate into a farce pretty quickly though)

I had 12 months off work for major depression in 2009 / 10, plus a lengthy return to work program. I know exactly how much it costs.

I'll defend people with depression every day - but don't ever complain about how much it costs when you're on more than 6 times my salary.

Such statements also discourage people from seeking help in the first place.

It's great that Fifita is publicly supporting Buddy in this tough time, but he should have left it at that and not have mentioned the money.

He showed how important he is to our side. Had him just In front of graham as our best

Agree. He was strong in the 2nd half. Fifs trying to bust the line and create offloads shows his desperation. Hats off to him

I think about 50. He came on like the 18th minute and I think he was off for at least 10.

Piss off. 1 scrappy play-the-ball and **** was all over his back. It should of been a penalty but the refs with their game specific training and tip sheets have it built in this bloke is at fault if something goes wrong in the play-the-ball. But thats another rant for another day.

Basically in an error riddled performance 1 error (questionable or not) from Andrew is pretty good for him.

I don't buy this at all.

I hate the fact that these token **** play the balls and conceded penalties have become an accepted part of his game. You can't blame the refs for not blowing a penalty when it's blatantly obvious what Andrew is doing. He had six weeks to cut this crap out of his game.

I'm not saying its accepted just that his 1 error was a piss in the ocean tonight.

His job is make as many meters as he can if he can't find a good offload opportunity to then get the quickest play-the-ball he can. Sometimes he goes a bit hard for the quick PTB and fluffs it. Sometimes his offload results in a turn over of possession. Sometimes goal kickers miss. Sometimes **** happens and I think those sometimes are becoming less for him. He could be good for 3 or more in a game when we're on but only had 1 in a final where almost everyone else **** the bed.

I don't mind him going for the quick play the ball as long as ball security is good. My issue is the blatant milking that everyone can see through and nearly always turns over possession.

It seems like he's the only guy in the squad who's got a problem with it and I don't think we should be saying "at least he only did it once and not three times" is right when he should be cutting it out altogether.

Yeah those blatant milking ones are unforgivable and all sorts of stupid. His one tonight but I don't think falls in that category. He was trying to get up fast with the tackler still pushing up off him and he just missed making contact with the foot on the ball. When he's milking he gets up with a dopey, questioning look before the whistle blows this time looked like he thought he did it right.

We lost the forward battle on the first 20 mins because this guy didn't come on until the 20min mark, crazy to think our no1 forward wasn't on the field to go head to head with the Aussie front rowers in Scott and Tamou

Fifita was good. Had some nice runs, and IIRC a really well timed off load. We need more of that (next year anyway haha).
