I dont think that was the case. I think in his instance, where it was off season and he dead set tried to throw himself out a window he got the right help. At that point proper intervention is required and thats what he got through family friends and the rehabilitation centres and professionals. I have no doubt flanno and the boys and people in the club would have been supportive

Yeah I hear that. Like I said maybe it was before they all knew, but he did give the impression there was a while heap of pressure on him to be the game changer and turn our season around. Hopefully the club learns from that.

Not trying to pass comment or make out I know about depression as I don't but I wonder if part of the depression illness feeds paranoia?

Who knows, maybe the club or coaching staff was heaping pressure on him, maybe he interpreted comments the wrong way, put, two & two together & come up with five & from there the spiral got out of control.

thats the thing with it mate, once it starts it is hard to stop

i had a very real battle with it in 2007, and a very close friend of mine is fighting it every day

its just something you dont know how to control or beat. take a look at renee gartner, tall, beautiful, great career, well known and respected, and yet she suffers from it pretty bad.

nothing to be shirked at, which is why it is good to hear fifitia genuinely open up about it

Agree with all of that.

Not related to Andrew or the NRL, but is to do with depression....read the SMS exchange in the attached email. It made me feel sick in the stomach. http://www.smh.com.au/world/teen-gi...-of-friend-conrad-roy-18-20150825-gj768t.html

It's hard to know without knowing the people involved. I wonder what she seemed like to everyone else? Wonder if she was a massive bitch, a sweety, super fake or what?

That article just made me feel sad reading it, how anyone can do that is well beyond me.

As for Fifita well I was not really surprised.

It is evil. I'm not sure what can possibly go through someone's mind when doing something like that. It's one of the most sickening articles I have ever read.
to say what she was saying and ending some of the messages with 'I love you' is really messed up. Makes you wonder what frame of mind she is in, and I am not in any, shape, or form defending her. She deserves full punishment
