His comments re Union don't bother me. I said plenty of dumb things in my early 20s, good thing there wasn't social media back in those days.

I knew he was making the wrong decision for him. How? You could tell, see it in the way he talked about it. He was doing what he thought he should do, not what he wanted to do. I really hope he stays. I think he wants to.

I don't understand how anyone can bag him for signing a 850k contract it's practically twice what he's worth.

Fifita wouldn't have back flipped lol. It's the dogs for sure.

And who gives a ****. It's ok for players to walk out of contracts why not clubs?

There was no contract, yet.

But it's not ok for players to just walk out. Some kind of agreement always has to be reached.

Hope he realises team mates took cuts to stay together.
If 2 years ago he and his brother thought they could get 800K between them they both would have said yes please.
I reckon we offer A Fifita 600K and D Fifita 200K to stay on board for 2 years.
Then upgrades if they perform. win/win/win - for the Fifita Brothers / their team mates / and the Club.
Personally I would like to see both of them in our colours for at least 2 more years.

1 month ago I would have loved to see A and D our two props, our own version of the burgii. I can see our club being spineless and offering an olive branch. He'll probably be petulant and go to Union on half what we offered him. Or the Roosters - they know how to secure 3rd party deals.

I don’t think he wanted to leave. He has friends here and he has been successful. I think he made a financial decision, which is fair enough. If we put together a competitive package, I don’t see any reason why he would leave. If we can still offer a deal, why not?

Chances of feefs signing with any NRL club other than the sharks are very minute

I'm looking forward to see how this plays out, with union he would be away almost every second weekend either interstate or in NZ or SA then the Wallaby tours, he says he misses his family when away which is understandable so that being the case it would rule out rugby wouldn't it?

Things do seem to be going to his head, but I genuinely feel sorry for the bloke the way everything has panned out for him in the last few weeks.
Agreed. Very low behaviour by the Dogs and I hope it makes other big name players think twice before signing with them.
