Wonder how many people in here would turn down a decent payrise if their career only lasted 10 years. If he goes for more money I wish him all the best.
Totally agree , shame to lose him if he goes but I wish him well if he does , if he does lets chase McQueen at the bunnies , luvin his footy atm.

If the Bulldogs pay that much for a prop they are ****ing morons. He might be the best prop in the game but it doesn't make him worth that much. Besides, if he winds up in Belmore, snacking on lamb kebabs and ****, his career is going down quicker than a two dollar hooker.

All the BS on here about family first! Of course he has to consider that, but it's not that simple. So he takes an extra 400k over 4 years, which is only 240k after tax. Makes sense? But what if he doesn't settle in there and the environment isn't right? Then his next contract takes a hit because his form dropped off and the extra 240k is gone anyway and he left an environment that made him great for nothing. It's a dumb move to leave. There are lots of NRL players who have taken pay cuts to stay in good environments and it works out for them. Corey Parker? I reckon Cam Smith is about to do it.

Looking out for your family is not just about the size if your pay cheque, it's about being happy.

I think he is making an error. He fails to see the link between how much everything is going his way and which club he is playing for.

I think he knows what's better for his family better than anyone in this forum. Rugby League is a physical game, take the money when you can. Who knows what will happen to him during his next contract? Might have a couple of serious injuries and have to call it a day early.

I would normally agree that you make a good point about staying in an environment that is good and happy and settled.

However, I also think it's a good signal, that we are not currently a good spot.

Thats all well and good, but Andrew is better placed to determine what his family needs. U say 240k ? Thats like 3 years work for me. Or more.

And people forget that the average footballer is not that smart. How much is a bloke like Fifita going to be earning post footy? 240k is a lot of money.

Is he gone for sure? Everyone seems very certain...

Will be a shame he is a very exciting player and my current favorite. I will have to ramp up my love for Taga!

Surely the fact he will have the opportunity to play with his brother and the fact the godfather of his son play for the club it will have some sway on him. He also will be enjoying the coast lifestyle as opposed to the west. I think we are more of a chance than we realise.
