I don't mind resting a player if they are carrying a niggling injury that will benefit from a week off, but I don't see the point of resting them if they are otherwise fit.

I agree except where the rest is due to injuries as you can make a small injury worse in 30minutes just as easily as 60minutes..

That wasn't the point of my original question. The question was he's played big minutes this year plus 3 origin games, should he be rested for 1 game so he doesn't get burnt out going into the finals.

Well I dunno the player he largely replaced, Kade Snowden, hasn't scored a try in 61 games now so the pressure is kinda off regarding that for Fifita.

I don't mind resting players to avoid burn out. But with Gal, Lewy and Wade out we need him more than ever. Give him a rest in a few weeks when we have an easier team and some of those other fellas are back.

Just give him an extra couple days off training. And cut his minutes if we are worried. I dont see the point resting him now
