I reckon all this talk of tags not being used properly is utter bull***t. The guy has a job to do and isnt doing it. He is a big guy and hits it up like hes a welter weight. Other props run wider on occasion with success why can't he. He's big and strong and should be explosive but he's not, is that flannos fault?? No,it's his. Get your hands on the f***ig ball and earn your flipping wage.
I agree on replacing him with tafua, at least he has a dig.

cause he will get called the crab the 2nd.

Tend to agree Blair.

Same with Tupou.

Sick of people making excuses for players.

Only excuse Taga really has is lack of game time. But surely he can make the most of each hitup still.

Our wingers have better hitups than him sometimes! Hear them complaining about having to take hitups off our own line? No, so 100kg+ forwards can STFU and do their job!

That's a simple way of looking at it MB. Taga last year was playing wider and and was making linebreaks and offloads. Taga this year is playing down the middle and has been ineffective. You are a smart guy MB what is the solution? I would suggest it's exactly what Samshark says. He isnt a prop. Never has been. Taga is effective when he targets smaller blokes defending wide. For me he just doesn't have the body type or game to be grinding away down the middle against good defenders. You have to create mismatches. For me it's simple, either play him wide or don't play him.

He will come in handy for us during the origin period to try and make the breaks and score the points needed with gal and Todd out

The answer is for him to man the **** up and run harder and get busier.

Like I said, wingers take hit ups these days. There's no excuse for him.

Yeah I have NFI why he's trimmed down so much?

Even if he was an edge back rower he shouldn't be that light.

Hes better as a big unit samoans are big powerful people so why trim him down and try to utilize endurance that isnt there hes always gonna be better utilized as a intimidation impact player, remember the hits he put on foran one game, foran was throwing up for a week aftet that!

I wouldn't be blaming the coaches etc.

Everyone else is awesome.

Oh i agree everyone else is going great guns but no coach is going to get the best out of every player or get everything right with a players development, i dont think bennet will het anything more out of kelly if he plays at some stage than any other coach could, some players obviously take longer or need different development techniques, i dont think taga is that old

The statement that x big guy is better off running at small guys kinda irks me. All big guys should be effective running over small guys, and if they cant match it with other forwards with equal strength then maybe they dont have the heart or whatever to play NRL
