There have been plenty career ending injuries early in people's careers
Career ending injuries dont always mean players wont ever be able to work again. Especially in the younger blokes with less wear and tear on their bodies overall.

Had a mate play for dogs and cowboys in the 00’s, had to retire due to too many knee and shoulder injuries. hes a pilot these days. Does well for himself

Of course not. But there are also people like McKinnon who this will never be a reality for.

He's left his position at knights I'm pretty sure, he's studying Psychology at Uni.
He left and went back, may have left again, not sure. Has also done various media work.
His injury was life changing and terrible and ended his League career in an instant but I was just pointing out he’s not just got nothing now.

"Hey it's the bloke who ran over your forward pack in the 2016 GF" 🤣🤣🤣

I gotta say, I don't really know what the point of all that was...

But I guess if Sporting News wanted to pay him to do something random then good for him

I think it's supposed to be promoting the Stan Doco series

Thought it was pretty good, not something you see in the NRL much. And Andy's actually a bit funny.
It wasn't awful I just really don't think it did a very good job of whatever the point of it was.
If it was to promote the doco more than two quick passing mentions of it probably were needed, even if it was just a splash screen at the end about the doco and stan.

We're all talking about it. Job done :)

The YouTube description had a nicely disguised shortened link leading to the series that I'm sure got a good number of clicks.

A pretty good mockumentary effort considering the people behind it.
