Doubt he was planning to put too many kilometers in them as soon as season ends so it saves what, 3-7 weeks of light training and max 25 mins of game play each of those weeks?
And probably more realistically it is 4 max and possibly even less with Hunt coming back. I get what you're saying, it's not nothing, but it isn't much.

He’s pretty done IMO. I’m all for medically retiring him, but he deserves a Shark Park send off next year. Mark it down for when we play whoever the wooden spooner is that year and bring him in for one more spirited performance at home

Saw a ‘highlights’ clip of klemmer on the weekend on fox. Not sure if it was purposely done this way by fox but every hit up he had a raised forearm leading into the contact. Definitely something he should considerworking on

I get that, but if they come in contact with the oppositions head or throat then there should be consequences.
A tackler needs to make sure they don’t come in contact with an opponent’s head or throat (anything above the shoulder), so the same should apply to the player carrying the ball.

Shouldn’t it??

You can get done for raising forearm into head as the ball carrier

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is the MASTER , does more damage running the ball with bumpers out and /or slight twist of the shoulder , than when he's defending

Doesn’t often get picked up thou.
Just sayin

Yeah very rarely, you have to actively be seen to raise the arm up to head height and contact the head. Similar to lifting knees into the tackler.
Ball runners are also allowed to effectively shoulder charge too.

I love him as our rolley polley big lug of a human but to take some pressure off his knee and maybe find a little more endurance, agility and lateral movement he may want to consider looking to shed a stack of weight (safely over time) in preparation for next season. Get down to a player weight more akin to a big second rower (e.g 105kg ish) than a prop forward. He might wanna consider thinking about this for post footy life regardless.
