he started to look better last year with some week to week FG games under his belt . he was still picked ahead of younger fitter forwards in our squad so the coach still sees something

Isn't Magoulias the only forward in NRL squad he was picked ahead of?

Love ya big fella, but your cooked
Let us spend your $$$$ for next season.

Im quite happy to let him keep his $$$$ for next season even if he doesn't play a single game.
Ill go even further, I'd be happy for the club to pay him a salary for life. Obviously not 800k pa or under any cap.

For sure, give him a unit or a freehold of a shop he can rent out, just need his $$$ out of our cap, uncle Nick would know how hopefully he’s let Fitz know the secret .

We really need to try to release him and save $400k - we need some hard running props that can offload.....

I love Fifs. But he is a spent force. I don’t want to see him pushed out the door, somehow we need to get him to retire gracefully

There is probably a very good reason why South’s and East’s among others , are able to negotiate ‘ graceful retirements ‘ ..

And we all know how they do it ..

If we have any luck with injuries next year he won’t get a game and that will be pretty sad for a sharks legend.

I'd love the cash available, but I think like most I'm not bitter about it. He gave us the greatest moment ever as fans, I can put up with one more year if need be.

It's more sad for him to not even be in the top 21 for next year. Wish he could have gone out on top for his legacy.

If we can't medically retire him can he retire and we'll still pay him out but maybe spread it over a few years. Maybe add a bonus on it and a job at the club.

300k for the next 3 years. Atleast gives us 500k next year to have a splash if there's someone around. If not just wear it all next year and be cashed up for 2023. Throw in Grahams money and the others and we can seriously rebuild this squad.
