As a physiotherapist im not a big believer in topical creams and gels.
A few of my patients have enquired about fisiocream and i just tell them that if they are going to out anything on just use good old fashioned deep heat.
Pharmaceutical companies are making ridiculous $$ out of things like 'painaway' or 'fisiocream' - but its the actual act of rubbing the creams in which provides the benefits, as not only does it generate heat through friction but also facilitates the release of oxytocin (the love/cuddle) hormone which helps provide feelings of relief/comfort.
I liked Fisiocrem because it looked like it has natural ingredients. I will look into deep heat and see what it has and see how it feels.

I agree that it is the rubbing action that provides the most relief (and the small hard ball).

Keep an eye out for little heat patches called salonpas in green and white box. They were a godsend for a few injuries I’ve had… the menthol/heat feeling masked the pain great haha

Tell them not to get it on their old fella, Jesus that hurts!
Had a bloke duck in for a piss just before kick off, came out, he kicked off and then subbed himself straight off back to change rooms.
Got deep heat on himself when pissing

Isn't alot of pain relief creams essentially just Arnica creams mixed with their own blend of other stuff ?

I woke up Sunday after a good sleep and my arm is heaps better :) All I have been doing is resting it and minor physio exercises. Nuromol for pain relief. Interestingly it was very sore particularly in the shoulder that night before I woke up.

I'm way ahead of schedule as Doc told me can take up to 4-6 weeks to sort out but I'm only 1 week in and it almost feels back to normal. still seeing the physio and gotta be careful obviously but good signs. I think I want to work on my general flexibility in this arm/shoulder regardless as it had been getting quite stiff the last few years.

Sleep and rest is such an underrated tool for healing and recovering but the problem is trying to get to sleep and have quality sleep when you are in pain or sick plus we all have such busy lives but sometimes your body talks and it's wise to listen.

I’m 32. Haven’t played footy since my first year of grade because of it. Popped out more times than I can remember, it’s about as loose as it gets 😂
From sleeping in bed, yawning, sneezing, putting a six pack in the car. Never really phased me, but have noticed a lot of posture and back issues from years of compensating for it so been thinking more long term about having such a **** shoulder
Had a mate with a ****ed shoulder. Ended up with a ****ed spine from it.

Have you tried to get in sorted out?

Done plenty of X-rays/Ultraounds, but nothing shows up. Went to get an MRI, but scoffed at the $500 they wanted to charge me just to stab me with a big needle and stick me in a tiny enclosed space (both big favourites of mine)

Makes sense. I feel like my back and my trap cop most of the damage trying to compensate.

Similar issue for me for problem with left elbow/wrist.
Xray and ultrasound didn't show anything. Doc said we could send you for nerve conduction testing but even if it showed it was definitely a nerve issue it doesn't present a solution. Would just be a few hundred or more for confirmation of issue.
