OK that's settled. Can someone get a message to Flanno that he needs to go straight back in? The fourm has spoken.

Yep straight in, as long as he has been staying of the pies and keeping his fitness up during his suspension.

Happy for Fifita to come back from the bench, while its been talked up in the media he is training well its nothing compared to match fitness.

Fingers crossed Barba is back for the finals, realistically with the majority of our forwards able to play big minutes allows Flano the luxury of using Both Fifita & Barba in a way that could cause alarm bells for opposition teams, sort of compensates for our lack of a dominant half.

*Andrew Fifita is primed to return for Sharks in week one of the finals

CRONULLA’S X Factor Andrew Fifita is being timed to the minute in readiness for his highly-anticipated return in week one of the finals.

Not only are the Sharks a genuine top-four hope again after Melbourne’s shock loss to Newcastle on Monday night, but the club’s premiership claims will be boosted by the return of their 115kg strike weapon who was all smiles at training.

Fifita ramped up his workload on Tuesday as the Sharks’ conditioning staff prepare the NSW Origin prop to be in peak fitness for the club’s biggest game of the season.

Coach Shane Flanagan said the Fifita twins would be kept busy on the paddock this week, but given an easier time next week ahead of their return from a club-imposed suspension for abusing a park-footy referee.

“This week is a heavy week for them, they’ve trained today, will do contact work with the main group tomorrow, and train again Friday,’’ Flanagan told The Daily Telegraph.

“It would have been tough to train knowing they were out for four or five weeks. They got their heads around that, and done a reasonable job of coming in and training really hard.’’

Pressed on Andrew, Flanagan said: “He’s a real positive for us, that’s for sure, and I’d rather have him than not have him.’’

Wade Graham said the Fifita boys often lifted the spirits of the club when the season started to take its toll.

However, the mood in the Shire at the moment couldn’t have been any more positive.

“The NRL is a marathon year, it takes its toll mentally and physically, and you need boys like that around with the personalities who are always up,’’ Graham said.

While Andrew counts the days until his return, Cronulla fans will be hoping he’s back for a qualifying final _ for teams in the top four _ not an elimination final.

Graham and experienced Sharks forward Luke Lewis know their side has a golden chance to secure a top-four berth with Parramatta and Manly awaiting them in the next two rounds.

On paper, the Sharks’ draw is more favourable than other top-four hopefuls, including South Sydney, who meet heavyweights Brisbane and the Sydney Roosters, while Melbourne plays North Queensland and Brisbane.

'We're a chance for top 4'

However, Cronulla aren’t looking beyond Parramatta on Saturday, a team who has caused plenty of boilovers this season, including killing off Manly’s hopes last start.

Lewis said the best thing about Cronulla was the camaraderie at the Shire club, something he hadn’t experienced in years.

“For me, I wouldn’t want to be running out with any other team in the semi-finals,’’ Lewis said.

“I Love playing with the squad we’ve got here. We’re a team of 17, not individual players. That's what I love the most

Just finished watching then footy show segment on depression. I really got the impression that Andrew didn't really get the support he needed from the club. Maybe it was all before they knew, but hopefully that's all changed and we aren't heaping pressure on one player to get results for us.

I dont think that was the case. I think in his instance, where it was off season and he dead set tried to throw himself out a window he got the right help. At that point proper intervention is required and thats what he got through family friends and the rehabilitation centres and professionals. I have no doubt flanno and the boys and people in the club would have been supportive
