Less than a day after Nike terminated its relationship with Manny Pacquiao for calling people in gay relationships "worse than animals", the champion boxer who is campaigning for the Senate in the Philippines posted a Bible verse which says gay men should be put to death.

In a post on his Instagram account, which was subsequently deleted, Pacquiao posted a picture of himself with his wife, and quoted a Bible verse from Leviticus: "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

The post again drew widespread condemnation and fanned outrage, after his earlier comments criticising gay people during an interview with TV5, a Philippine network, was shared widely online.

"It's common sense. Do you see animals mating with the same sex?" he said in the interview. "Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female. If men mate with men and women mate with women, they are worse than animals."

I remember bringing the fact that Manny was vocal in the past about not liking gays in the lead up to the fight with Floyd. Everyone was on the 'Floyd is a scumbag' bandwagon and Manny had this media darling reputation that flowed down to the casual fans.

A lot of people thought Manny was a saint, but what he's said about gays is a lot worse than Floyd being an arrogant over the top prick.

Given it's in SA the loser should be cut up and put in a barrel full of acid.

Yeah got sucked into the 1st one, paid for it on fox was like a Tuesday night and the turds wandered out close to midnight... Did hear a interesting interview with green re all his family health issues 4 weeks out from that 1st fight, he lost his little niece to sids month leading up, and just went nuts and over trained for the fight was trying to punish hurt and push himself to lesson the effects of his loss... Was a eye opening (although through headphones) interview.
I'll more then likely tune in again to cheer the green machine, like what green does for mental health,one punch and now sudden infant death syndrome.

Yep, two wealthy guys talking crap about each other, looking for the general Australian public to get caught up in it as well by putting there hands in their own back pockets making them both even more wealthy.

They wont be getting a cent from me, while I might watch it if I happen to be a in a pub at the time I wont be making any special trips on whatever day it is to go to the pub & watch it.

They both have flaws in the arguments they are putting up or the insults or accusations they are throwing at each other, not sure of the interest or number of people that will be sucked into this but if they were to make a small & equal amount each & then give the rest of the purse to a genuine charity or charities they'd get me or others more interested.

Must be a challenge to keep coming up with ways to stay in the public eye as you grow old and less relevant.

Anthony Mundine has branded our national anthem "racist" and will not acknowledge it before his boxing rematch against Danny Green on Friday night.Mundine says he has "no choice" to take a seat when indigenous singer Jessica Mauboy sings the anthem in front of 30,000 spectators at Adelaide Oval.
