that pass Aiden threw after the Talkai kick that bounced off a drags player was good awareness and didn't go for the selfish carry/barge over (maybe just tired lol) which would have halted our shift right

can't leave him out of my 17, had another solid game

had same tackle stats as Dale, 29 made for no misses

Will bring up his 300TH game in the top flight next week and thoroughly deserves his place in that company.

Hope the doubters can keep their slander to a minimum for the next week in respect to that fact.

His performances this year should already have silenced a few.

I remember feeling glad he was out there when our line was under sustained attack in the rain.

At any given time our middle defence has a combination of BB, Dale, Cam and Tolman on the field, if not all four.

Do people realise how insane that is?
Game in hand of course but we are currently 4 of top 5 tacklers and 5 of top 10 (top 9 even).

On average Brailey is 3rd, Dale and Nikora are 17th and 18th, Teig and Toby are 33rd and 34th, and Tolman is 47th
All averaging above 30.
2021 season ended we had 11 (Blayke), 21 (Tolman) and 43 (Rudolf) in top 50
So small sample size but we look like we have much greater capacity to work than last year, and that's without even using Cam properly yet.

Hynes is current points leader which I'm keen to see him stay in the race for...

Does his job brilliantly, though I don't love seeing him with the ball in the opposition 10.

Agree as his runs in that area are very non-threatening.
Does have decent ability to get some quick PTBs though which are great in that area (anywhere really...).

Reason he was Bulldogs notorious 4th tackle hit up man same as Gallen for us - they have the lungs for the work, they have the smarts to do it how the halves/coach want, they have the technique and strength to get a quick PTB.
We appear to be playing less structured, away from 4th tackle set up plays, but principle still stands we can do good things off the back of a quick PTB

Of course there are benefits to a settler sometimes – even in the opposing 10. But you wouldn't mind seeing that job go to someone who's a chance of breaking through too, like BHU or Toby.

Based on his career try scoring tally over essentially 300 games and 15 odd seasons his chances would be 20:1 of bagging a 4 pointer on average in a single game

Sportsbet are offering $11 which is rubbish considering he scores on average about 1 try per season. For perspective Dale is paying $9 (Dale try scoring record little better than Aidens). I doubt there is much of a market for either player driving those odds though, more likely just thieving bookies giving disproportionaly bad value

Being Aiden's 300th game isn't going to turn him into a try scoring centre or something. Maybe if we have a good lead and make a big break down field a sharks player will supply him with a gimme try ha

Already planning to score
“Once you cross that white line, it’ll be business as usual.

Wonder what his anytime odds are
I recall a Storm player saying something similar in New Zealand a few years ago.
