Interesting to see how the AFL handle a new team. They won't enter the comp until 2028 and
Was a disgrace they didn't get one before GWS and Suns. I know it's a small population but it's as AFL as Victoria down there.

They'll easily get far bigger crowds than those to poxy clubs.

Hey, the Giants are my poxy club!
Crowd numbers will be close... I think they said their building a new stadium that'll hold 28,000. The Giants average just over 20,000 (but get over 30,000 now and again).

Still, having a GWS team is doing its job. Our family are merched up and get out to a few games (on complimentary tickets,sure...)

Mate I'm not sure where you're getting your crowd info from. The Giants average less than 10k per home game.

Historic day.

If anyone doesn't know, my wife is Taswegian, and we spend lots of time there, and yes, this should have happened before GC and GWS.

Only sticking point, I didn't know why the whole franchise was dependent on a new Hobart stadium. The team will have to play at least a third in Launceston, and maybe another single game in Burnie or Devonport.

I'll still be Dee's fan, but Tassie will now be 2nd (sorry STK)

Where is she from mate?

I love Tassie, we came very close to moving to the Huon Valley around 12 years ago.

That checks out. Looks like the number I had was their average attendance, which included home and away

North of Launceston, but her family is now settled in Devonport.

We'll prolly move there for a few years soon.

Just spent under a month there couple of weeks back, last time I was there was before Covid.

When I'm there I tend to keep to the North, mostly Launceston, Latrobe, Devonport, Ulverstone and Burnie
