A streaker provides a diversion during Cronulla's 40-12 walkover of Warrington in the World Club Challenge at Wilderspool.

Russell Richardson starred, scoring 4 tries.

The Sharks played some scintillating football, especially in the first half.

Guys, this was 1997, the Super League year (and the last time we played in a grand final). The Super League version of the World Club Challenge was a round robin tournament if I remember correctly, played on a home and away basis and involving all Australian and UK Super League teams. Just don't ask me who won, my memory is not that good!

Can any one tell me who is standing next to Dean Treister? The Guy with the headphones - he looks familiar and I HAVE to know who it is! (And I love the Super League Jersey)

Mega, if I remember, the final was the Brisbane Broncos defeating the Hunter Mariners. Our Aussie teams knocked out the English teams. I do remember going to watch the Reds at the WACA, quite a festival atmosphere.

Yes he played for Warrington Wolves after leaving the Warriors for the first time, came back to the Warriors for a couple more seasons before joining the Dogs, on to us and now the Bunnies.
