The Tele reckons Alex Cisak is the front runner for Vukovic's spot at Sydney FC. He's in the running, but Birigitti is still the preferred option. Problem is, it's proving a lot harder to do a deal for him. Cisak comes with a good reference from Ange himself, he's picked him in a few squads for the Socceroos and really rates him. Problem is, he couldn't even hold down the number 1 spot at Leyton ****ing Orient. True, there is some political components at that club at the moment that's playing a part in selections, but from a lot of reports, he wasn't setting the world on fire.
Arnie is still keen on Birigitti but is starting to see it might be more trouble then it's worth trying to get him. Plus he was impressed with Redmayne's game against Arsenal and his improvement in training under Crawley. So who knows?
