i need to stop voting straight after the game
on replays, he is head and shoulders above everyone on the park, its not even close
I like voting straight after, Dally M votes are done straight after (or sometimes following a replay, Ruan)
With it being what everyone else is doing it shows who made the biggest impression on us watching the game live.
An argument can definitely be made there is stuff you miss or subtle stuff you don't appreciate live.
But I think it's not unfair to counter argue that a bunch of good runs by Woods that really caught your attention live may have had more immediate positive impact on the (live) team than some of the smaller contributions you are now seeing from SJ on replay. Not saying they aren't important still but a few good runs from a prop to get you on the front foot probably stand out a bit more in most players minds than, for example, consistently good kicking.
You also watch for different things on replay which may add & detract value from previous assessment. Woods efforts maybe aren't quite as impressive on replay as they were the first time you saw them, or compared to the new stuff you are noticing from Shaun.
It was a tough game to score, there were 6 players I would have happily given points to... could maybe even stretch to Dugan who filled in well out of expected position (he wasn't close to getting a point from me, but he wouldn't have been unworthy)
Point of clarification - Are you referring to Shaun Johnson or Chad Townsend?
Were you unsure because he said 'head & shoulders'?
