bort's ratings for Sharks vs Eels (NRL Premiership, Round 4, 2010)
3 Points - Blake Ferguson: Great game. Not easy to overpower Hindmarsh one on one. 216 metres and 9 tackle breaks for 2 tries. Fergalicious. (9/10)
2 Points - Paul Gallen: Powerful game. 30 runs for 252m, 36 tackles, 4 tackle breaks and 3 offloads. The heart and soul of Cronulla. (9/10)
1 Point - Luke Douglas: Maybe not quite the run metres I would have liked but made up for that with a good tackle count. (8/10)
- Albert Kelly: Still hasn't caught a bomb but was deadly in attack. Opposition teams will be praying he doesn't learn to catch before we play them because as it stands hes a liability but onces he learns it will be kicking to him that is considered the dangerous error. (7/10)
- Taulima Tautai: Solid sharks debut. Looks strong and quick. Looking forward to more from him. (6/10)
- Ben Pomeroy: I was calling for his head the other week, with good reason. He managed to hold it this time around and looked really good. Still think hes should be our 3rd or 4th choice for centre. (8/10)
- Luke Covell: Poor Cov, played pretty solidly for a bloke with one leg. If he is out for an extended period though I believe we have adequate cover. (6/10)
- Trent Barrett: Best game this season by a mile with Gallen and Smith doing most of the playmaking and Barrett picking his touches. Helped set up a try. (7/10)
- Tim Smith: A little quiet but that can only be expected with just 4 days with his new team and playing against his old team under a massive weight of expectation. Should be a great signing and great for our team. (8/10)
- Kade Snowden: Very solid game from the Unstoppable Snowman. Hopefully he can keep replicating and building on it. Interestingly he played only 42 minutes, perhaps a little less time on the field is the key for him. (7/10)
- John Morris: Glad hes back at hooker and showed even more versitility by covering in the backs. (6/10)
- Grant Millington: Quite in attack but with the likes of Gallen, Douglas and Snowden around him I guess he has an excuse. Excellent defensive workload though. (7/10)
- Anthony Tupou: Was a bit quite but made some good runs. Still looks dangerous but isn't quite playing to the rep standard with which he should be. (5/10)
- Adam Cuthbertson: His first error free game
Looking forward to seeing him fire next week.
- Josh Cordoba: Hard to make much impact from the bench especially when our other forwards are firing. Makes reasonable stats but struggles to stand out or stamp any claim to his jersey. (5/10)
- Paul Aiton: Looked dangerous and was quick and clean out of dummy half. I think he took the wrong option going to his boot though near the end and kicking straight to Hayne. Although a decent kick Fergie had some space on the outside and would have liked another shot at 3. (8/10)
- Siosaia Vave: There is not much you can do to make a name for yourself coming off the bench for just 24 minutes. Continually getting stats like 20 tackles in 24 minutes could well help achieve it. Probably not ready for greater time and resposibility yet but looks to be handling the step up. (6/10)
