Sharks Forever's ratings for Cronulla vs Newcastle (NRL Premiership, Round 7, 2010)

3 Points - Tim Smith: Was the difference. We have had good forward efforts before, but Smith converted the chances with some beautiful passing and kicking. (10/10)
2 Points - Kade Snowden: Got one of the Man of the Match awards at the presentation, and thoroughly deserved it. Massive hits and runs. (10/10)
1 Point - Anthony Tupou: Saved so many tries with the toughest defence you will see. (9/10)

- Nathan Stapleton: Completely safe at the back, and a great bust in the first half gave us a lot of confidence. (8/10)
- Blake Ferguson: Good game. Went looking for work (8/10)
- Dean Collis: Scored the first try from not much. Started the win. (8/10)
- Taulima Tautai: Awesome defence. Not sure what happened last week, but tonight he crunched them. Nothing got through. (8/10)
- Isaac Gordon: 2 tries, the intercept was the decisive point in the match. Make him a Sharks Legend now! (9/10)
- Trent Barrett: Ran and tackled like he was 10 years younger. Led from the front. (8/10)
- John Morris: Good little kick for Tim Smith's try, and generally good. (8/10)
- Luke Douglas: Great effort along with Snowden. (8/10)
- Grant Millington: Killed Kurt Gidley with a tackle from a kick. What we like to see. (8/10)
- Paul Gallen: Also got one of the awards at the presentation. Some good offloads and good hit-ups. (8/10)
- Luke Harlen: Solid game in his limited time on. (7/10)
- Broderick Wright: Best game I've seen from him. Ran like a madman. Well don. (8/10)
- Stuart Flanagan: Got a bit mixed up between him and Morris but both went well! (8/10)
- Siosaia Vave: Not a huge amount of time, but did what he needed to do with no mistakes. (7/10)

ABshark's ratings for Cronulla vs Newcastle (NRL Premiership, Round 7, 2010)

3 Points - Kade Snowden: Inspirational, and easily best on ground. How can they leave this guy out of the blues? (9/10)
2 Points - Luke Douglas: Great numbers. Wasn't as explosive as Snow, but complemented him really well with the perfect dougie performance- racked up almost 200m for the match. (8/10)
1 Point - Dean Collis: Was the catalyst. His runs down that edge in the first 20mins and the try really gave the boys a lift, it was obvious. Did a great job defending against Sau too. (8/10)

- Nathan Stapleton: Amazing run! With Collis' work, really got us on the front foot. Much better. (7/10)
- Blake Ferguson: Looked dangerous when he had the footy. His combo with Collis is where the majority of our points will come this season if both stay fit. (6/10)
- Taulima Tautai: Defended great, got the ball on to Gordon for a try and great yards bringing the ball back. Job done! (7/10)
- Isaac Gordon: Love this guy, great attitude and can really sneak a try. Just missed out on points. (8/10)
- Trent Barrett: Better, but still with a lot of improvement left in him (which is promising). Kicking was okay, passing wasn't great and his runs just lack that yard of acceleration of his youth, but led well tonight and kept the boys calm. (6/10)
- Tim Smith: Not bad, not great. Some poor kicks, some good ones and a couple of bad options. We looked a bit disorganised at times. That said, he owns the result, and we won! (7/10)
- John Morris: Good. Not much better than usual, he just got a few more chances to do things at the try line. Its been clear all season he's a quality footballer, he just needs more cracks. (7/10)
- Grant Millington: Just goin about his business. Needs to keep getting involved with the footy. (6/10)
- Anthony Tupou: Brilliant defence, really lifted the boys at the start by sitting some of their big men on their backsides. Would rather him breaking tackles, but breaking bones was enough tonight! (7/10)
- Paul Gallen: Standard effort from gal. Like Morris, I don't think Gal was a lot better than he normally is, it was just that everyone around him was better. (7/10)
- Luke Harlen: Threw himself at the line with the footy and tackled well, so did his job. Will be there again next week. (6/10)
- Broderick Wright: Another bloke that did what was asked of him. Will get better. In fact, I reckon by the time he's 30 he'll be a superb prop. Pity he's only 25. (6/10)
- Stuart Flanagan: Exciting player I reckon, he's so quick. Want to see more of him, need to resign him for the next couple of years... he's going to be a late bloomer. (7/10)
- Siosaia Vave: Love his energy. He moves so well for such a big man. Impact prop! (6/10)
