Born&bred's ratings for Cronulla vs Newcastle (NRL Premiership, Round 6, 2011)
3 Points - Nathan Gardner: Awesome game - best on the field.
2 Points - Albert Kelly: Great game by Albert - misses a few tackles, but attempts more than anyone - great attacking play today.
1 Point - Paul Gallen: Great game. Best forward.
- Matthew Wright: Good hitups & metres, still woeful under the high ball
- Ben Pomeroy: Mixed game - good runs, but too many from dummy half, good try - defence was mostly crap
- Colin Best: Doesn't get many opportunities - good execution in attack & defence when called upon.
- John Williams: Very reliable - good defence - get's involved well - good try - pity about the 2 missed kicks.
- Wade Graham: Defends pretty well - just needs to stand deeper and practice his kicking game. His long kicks are longer than anyone in the world - if he could direct them better from further back he could be the 40/20 genius.
- Kade Snowden: Good stats, but was patchy - I think he got belted early which put him off for a period.
- Paul Aiton: Improved, but no star.
- Luke Douglas: Good stats, but was patchy - I think he got belted early which put him off for a period.
- Jeremy Smith: I think he's carrying an niggling injury - didn't do much wrong, but not as imposing as he should be.
- Anthony Tupou: Dangerous at times, combined with mostly good defence - did extremely well to carry on with a crook knee.
- Josh Cordoba: Unimpressive.
- Broderick Wright: Unimpressive.
- Stuart Flanagan: Unimpressive.
- Johnny Mannah: Unimpressive.
