Chad's ratings for Cronulla vs Melbourne (NRL Premiership, Round 1, 2010)

3 Points - Nathan Stapleton: Very strong from the back with good takes under pressure and kick returns (8/10)
2 Points - Luke Douglas: Great performance from Dougie. Strong, great defence and non stop performance. (8/10)
1 Point - Paul Gallen: Again a hard working non stop performance. Hopefully has taken some of the silly passes out of his game (7/10)

- Isaac Gordon: Didn't see much of him in the first half but in the second showed he could motor (6/10)
- Ben Pomeroy: Better game from Poms but still gives heart attacks when he has the ball. (6/10)
- Blake Ferguson: Hardly sighted him all game. Made a few good runs but needs to be involved more. (5/10)
- Luke Covell: Made some good runs but was excellent in defence. (7/10)
- Trent Barrett: Solid but unspectacular game from Barrett. Needs to find more space in attack and he needs to put supports into gaps. (7/10)
- Scott Porter: Courageous effort from Ports. Defended well and put in 100%. Still needs to have more of a running game. (7/10)
- Kade Snowden: Strong effort up front from Snowy. Just a couple of handling errors marred his performance (7/10)
- John Morris: I thought he went OK. Needs more time to get a combination going with other players. (7/10)
- Grant Millington: Didn't see enough of Millo to really rate him high. Defended well as usual. (5/10)
- Anthony Tupou: Tightly marked. Always full of running but found it hard to get the ball away tonight. (7/10)
- Adam Cuthbertson: Cuthbo needs more time to get to know his fellow players and not throw silly passes. (5/10)
- Cordoba, Josh: Didn't really make an impact for mine. (5/10)
- Albert Kelly: From what I saw he has the goods. First game and more promising efforts to come. (6/10)
- Paul Aiton: I really rate him. He needs to be our starting rake with Morris on the bench. Our dummy half play was much faster with him there. (7/10)

bort's ratings for Cronulla vs Melbourne (NRL Premiership, Round 1, 2010)

3 Points - Nathan Stapleton: looked very sharp (7/10)
2 Points - Luke Douglas: DOUGIE! no nudie run for him this season. 6 tries in 99 games is good for a prop, isnt it? solid work. (8/10)
1 Point - Paul Gallen: work-a-holic. lead the game in hitups, defended well and didnt take ***** from no one. made one mistake but you get that. (8/10)

- Isaac Gordon: did alright with what he was given. would have liked him to look for more work as a debutant who started. (5/10)
- Ben Pomeroy: one real dumb move, otherwise good game. (7/10)
- Blake Ferguson: quiet game, struggled with cramps at the end, had a couple of good runs (6/10)
- Luke Covell: played well after doing something bad early on which i have forgotten but was less than impressed by. shame about the bounce of his kick. (7/10)
- Trent Barrett: dumbass for getting himself in a position it was even remotely possible he could be sin binned. very displeased even though it was a soft binning. cost us the game. played well with ball in hand though. (6/10)
- Scott Porter: good effort backing up of a big personal blow. SFP kept it simple but was solid. A+ in defence too. (6/10)
- Kade Snowden: i was actually a little disappointed in kade last night. i have very high expectations for his this season, and while he was good, i want more and believe he can deliver it. (6/10)
- John Morris: i am very critical of jmorris but always said he is nothing but a hooker. played solidly and i dont have a bad thing to say about him really after that one. (6/10)
- Grant Millington: pretty good, but didnt see a great deal of him, looks to be solid at prop of second row. did some offloading aswell. could surpass my expectations of him struggling to make the team by season end. (7/10)
- Anthony Tupou: good work by toops. particularly liked his defence. (7/10)
- Adam Cuthbertson: no errors i recall and didnt look lazy at all. looks to be a good pickup. (7/10)
- Cordoba, Josh: barely remember him playing. (5/10)
- Albert Kelly: too soon, ricky, too soon. looked out of his depth and played more minutes that he should have. once he clicks he will be a gun though. you could see he had talent. didnt appear as a defensive liability. that kick at the end had no chance of paying dividends though. I hope hes really livid at himself for doing that and learnt from it. (5/10)
- Paul Aiton: same more that we scored off a number of times last year used to perfection. certainly wasnt worse than morris and set up a try. id like to see him start as I believe most of our seasons trys will occur while hes on the field. (7/10)

3 Points - Luke Douglas: Just normal dougie and scored the only try, deserving of the 3 points.
2 Points - Paul Gallen: Great effort all night, hit hard in defence. He also handled the whole quinn situation well, he looked like losing it then just stopped. Good on ya gals.
1 Point - Paul Aiton: Injected too late did enough for one point and set up the only try.

Shark4Eva's ratings for Cronulla vs Melbourne (NRL Premiership, Round 1, 2010)

3 Points - Luke Douglas: Our best. Strong runs, solid defence, and was able to score our try. Good effort. (8/10)
2 Points - Paul Gallen: Same as tupou really, yet he was more active. Good workrate again. (7/10)
1 Point - Nathan Stapleton: Looked solid at the back, good return metres, took the line on unlike that bitch slater. (7/10)

- Isaac Gordon: Showed alot of passion, good pace. Decent debut, unfortunatley hes 25 and not 18 :( (6/10)
- Ben Pomeroy: Pretty solid, unlucky bounce denied him the potential match winning try. Needs to communicate with covell more if his offloads are gonna stick. (7/10)
- Blake Ferguson: NEEDS TO GET MORE INVOLVED. nuff said (6/10)
- Luke Covell: solid in defence, looks like he may be a bit faster which is good. Needs to aanticipate offloads better. (7/10)
- Trent Barrett: Defensively brilliant. Attack not so good. Created one of our only linebreaks. (6/10)
- Scott Porter: Brave performance considering the circumstances. Attack is very bland (6/10)
- Kade Snowden: Head down, bum up performance. Pretty solid, as expected (7/10)
- John Morris: Decent game. Solid defensively, knew when to run from dummy half, brought some organisation. (7/10)
- Grant Millington: Had little impact with his runs. Dissapointing (6/10)
- Anthony Tupou: He tried, but was conserved well. Didnt get the opportunity to offload. (6/10)
- Adam Cuthbertson: Poor. Holding the ball in one hand is a HUGE no no. Didnt do anything. (4/10)
- Josh Cordoba: A good signing imo. Does the hard stuff and not afraid of a bit of push and shove. (6/10)
- Albert Kelly: Also poor. Tried to create but never threatened. He didnt look comfortable being a 3rd option creater (5/10)
- Paul Aiton: good game. limited opportunity, needs more game time (6/10)
