bort's ratings for Cronulla vs Melbourne (NRL Premiership, Round 1, 2010)
3 Points - Nathan Stapleton: looked very sharp (7/10)
2 Points - Luke Douglas: DOUGIE! no nudie run for him this season. 6 tries in 99 games is good for a prop, isnt it? solid work. (8/10)
1 Point - Paul Gallen: work-a-holic. lead the game in hitups, defended well and didnt take ***** from no one. made one mistake but you get that. (8/10)
- Isaac Gordon: did alright with what he was given. would have liked him to look for more work as a debutant who started. (5/10)
- Ben Pomeroy: one real dumb move, otherwise good game. (7/10)
- Blake Ferguson: quiet game, struggled with cramps at the end, had a couple of good runs (6/10)
- Luke Covell: played well after doing something bad early on which i have forgotten but was less than impressed by. shame about the bounce of his kick. (7/10)
- Trent Barrett: dumbass for getting himself in a position it was even remotely possible he could be sin binned. very displeased even though it was a soft binning. cost us the game. played well with ball in hand though. (6/10)
- Scott Porter: good effort backing up of a big personal blow. SFP kept it simple but was solid. A+ in defence too. (6/10)
- Kade Snowden: i was actually a little disappointed in kade last night. i have very high expectations for his this season, and while he was good, i want more and believe he can deliver it. (6/10)
- John Morris: i am very critical of jmorris but always said he is nothing but a hooker. played solidly and i dont have a bad thing to say about him really after that one. (6/10)
- Grant Millington: pretty good, but didnt see a great deal of him, looks to be solid at prop of second row. did some offloading aswell. could surpass my expectations of him struggling to make the team by season end. (7/10)
- Anthony Tupou: good work by toops. particularly liked his defence. (7/10)
- Adam Cuthbertson: no errors i recall and didnt look lazy at all. looks to be a good pickup. (7/10)
- Cordoba, Josh: barely remember him playing. (5/10)
- Albert Kelly: too soon, ricky, too soon. looked out of his depth and played more minutes that he should have. once he clicks he will be a gun though. you could see he had talent. didnt appear as a defensive liability. that kick at the end had no chance of paying dividends though. I hope hes really livid at himself for doing that and learnt from it. (5/10)
- Paul Aiton: same more that we scored off a number of times last year used to perfection. certainly wasnt worse than morris and set up a try. id like to see him start as I believe most of our seasons trys will occur while hes on the field. (7/10)
