They were joking on the Matty Johns show before origin 1 about Burton being the richest guy to never play a game. Gets the $30k or whatever every time but is yet to play a minute of origin.

Critta can to 6 so Burton can play centre to make him feel more comfortable.

Picking or playing a player in the halves who doesn’t play there week to week is one of their favourite things to do. They’ve done it for as long as I can remember.

Daley himself was picked at 6 in 1990 when Chris O’Sullivan was the starting 6 at the Raiders .

Filtrler, Dymock, Timmins, Lyon, Moylan, G.Bird, Gasnier to name a few. Also Barrett at 7, Jack Bird from the bench, Wade covering for injury.

They’re not alone in this thinking though. It’s fairly prevalent across the game at all levels. E.g. Grantham.
