2026 State of Origin Discussion.

Correct.

The 19-man squad Laurie Daley has picked for Origin III is strong enough to win; it’s the starting 13 who are a worry. Mitchell Moses, Liam Martin, James Tedesco and Reece Robson are among those who have to rediscover their best form on the toughest stage of the year.

Several starters are carrying injuries. Meanwhile, the bench looks awesome, with the game’s best lock (Cameron Murray), best second-rower (Haumole Olakau’atu), best running five-eighth (Ethan Strange) and quickest outside back (Tolu Koula).

There’s more talent on that bench than the High Court. Daley just needs to know how to use them. The fact that they’re on the bench, however, suggests otherwise. If only the Blues can avoid losing the game in the other 50 to 60 minutes when their best players aren’t on the field, they’re a chance.

They had to switch something up in the spine, attack is going to be boring

The US have 300 million and the best they can drum up for president is Donald Trump so say no more!

Don't give NSWRL any idea.
They might go to the White House (whatever is left of it) and give the Orange Napoleon a trophy in exchange for a few tactical tips* and a decent team list**.

* I'm guessing bombing the wingers into the Stone Age

**Whites only, probably. Not sure it'd qualify as decent.

Dropping To'o is such a NSW move. Quee-land would never ... see Dane Gagai.

Koula being dropped is such Laurie bullshit. He the kid is 23, hasn't put a step wrong and yet is being dropped for another untested debutant for the decider. Absolute confidence killer. ANd Bostock will unfairly be under the microscope.

Murray not starting Lock is just getting absurd.

Moses at #6 is a joke.

Robson, I can live with it. But my one-eyed Sharks view wants Brailey starting.

Tedesco...sigh, but I can live with it.

Haumole back in is good, but should be starting.

AFB needs to pull his finger out.
I can't see bringing in Bostock over Koula as being anything but a sideways trade. And just like in SuperCoach, I think Laurie only has a certain number of trades to get this team right before he's bundled out.

Best is a great shout though. He's exactly the type of player we need.

I actually agree with not starting Blayke. Not just yet. i think he could handle it, but will be better prepared next year with this campaign and a GF under his belt...

Haumole I'm okay with coming off the bench.

Teddy... I'm torn on now. I'm getting sick of the whole team having to adjust to Clearly to 'unlock him' whatever the **** that means. I'd seriously considering starting Moses or the like over him (not this year though, he's underdone). Origin just seems to suit a more run-first inclined halfback.

Side was leaked yesterday and for once, the leak was actually correct.
Good to see big Red in the 20 man squad, would have had him before Loiero as we already have Plath and Carrigan on the bench who are workhorses. Big Red offers a lot more imo

This team will give everything on the field to hand the shield to Jay Arrow. I can envision a long night for the Blues.

I would also like to see Horburgh in the team and playing as many minutes as possible please

Funny how Nicho needed to step up in origin but the 'whole team' is letting Cleary down!

Pretty much the same bunch that when all on the field had it over NSW the last 2 games.

1-5 for NSW is fine. All good, there.

Strange should be the 6.
Yeo should move into the 10.

The back row should be:

11- Hudson-Young
12 Olakau’at u
13 Murray.

Blues back line 1-5 looks strong & with Martin back you'll be a tad stronger. However, I can't believe Daley has still opted for Moses & Cleary as the halves, for Blues Strange definitely should be starting with Moses tbf, not Cleary.
