2026 Sharks Discussion

Certainly don’t know for sure Seibold would be good, and the head coaching flops naturally bias me against him.
But would come in very experienced and clearly has been considered to perform well as an assistant in the past.

From a very outside perspective I’d probably take him over Maloney (menace), Teo (defence) and Ennis (part time only)
 
Three or four weeks ago I saw an older dude walking down a street on a Monday wearing a pretty new tigers jersey, and then saw him again like 5 hours later when I drove past again, walking down the same street in roughly the same spot.
Thought that was a bit weird.

Saw him this Monday, same area, but he switched to an early 2000s sharks jersey.

We won him back over!

Hosking - retain
Huru - retain only if we're going to give him a crack

Fill up from cup/flegg where needed, front load contracts where possible and throw the bank into 2028 to try and make something happen with this squad.

Niwhai Puru is Nuru, Hohepa Puru is Huru

As you say, I’d be keeping Kennedy. Ison and Barber too unproven to have nothing signed ahead of them.
SS maybe stays given Hiroti leaving. But hopefully N Williams can get some more Jets games and prove himself a bit

Nuru is Niwhai. Feels a bit harsh but I just don't see him having the ceiling of a star first grader. Capable backup for sure, but I'd rather find a way to get some reps in Ford.

Barber is the young fullback looking to move on from the cowboys.
