Match 2026 NRL Round 6 - Cronulla Sutherland Sharks vs Sydney Roosters. 5:30pm, Saturday 11 April @ Optus Stadium, Perth

Match threads
Who do we bring in? Vea’ila? Debut Dixson or Nikora Williams? Can’t see that helping us. But maybe it’d be a positive in the long run by putting the team on notice
Well maybe Fitzzy has to have a think of getting better backline players from the NRL already. Signing a few good/better outside backs. We aren't a team who often signs players though unfortunately.

Very disappointed second half but after watching this sport for 40 years I just don’t understand the rules anymore
Couldn’t have said it better mate, I can’t make sense of the calls anymore either. Game is in shambles

yeah but those roosters
gotta give it to those roosters

they hung in their
they dominated the plays
full credit to the roosters
You'd almost expect that to be said in all seriousness in this place. I swear some in here are not really Sharks supporters and actively barrack against.

So you're saying all the favourable calls Rooters got until they got over the line had no say in the game?
Nope... but geez we seem to conveniently overlook any that go our way...and a side with better character wins that game... but dont worry Fitzy will have enjoyed the game and taken some " lessons" from it...You saying the calls were only reason thst this crap seens to repeat itself ...??

There is no real strategy or way to explain these games, once momentum swings the refs are equivalent 14th men on the field. With set after set against any opposition they eventually break

Was really a very poorly officiated game that was messy and had no flow, I thought we were very good for periods in the game

Far from. Look back at a recent comment of mine. I clearly stated they only have themselves to blame, and as does Fitzy.

But there was definitely some BS in the calls to get Roosters home.

It's getting to the stage where I struggle to watch NRL , because of all the weird rules and different interpretations .

I have all but given up on watching the EPL or any football for that reason because of the disgraceful standard of refereeing and the completely over the top involvement of the video ref .

The NRL is going down that same dark hole .

Dont disagree.. but we need some capacity to overcome this. We seem to revert to the same "safe" structure and simply dont cope with any sustained pressure

We struggle so hard to create something out of the box to claw back some momentum.

It's play to the structure, trust the process and hope it works.

Hard to judge how fair a lot of the pens and stuff were from stadium. Saw some soft looking highs. But it felt like sharks hardly got to play any football all second half.
Crowd got bored. Beersnakes got way more attention than roosters (who had BY FAR least amount of fans there) just endlessly having the ball

that was the second half
we never got into that second half
Surely possession would have said that

Man, at one point crowd looked so spread out

Were there many there?

About 30k, should have had it at the rectangular stadium.
I think with double headers three years in a row a lot of neutrals probably didn’t bother.
