Our long kicking game was poor tonight, really disappointing. They were putting pressure on us, particularly Tricky. Us putting pressure on them? Nope.

**** seriously mate? Chambers a winner? Maybe more to do with the team he was in?
Bet Ronnie would have done nothing alongside 3 immortals....

Yeah our lack of kick pressure kills me.

How was not one player not constantly reminding Klein to get Tedesco off because his nose would not stop bleeding

This is part sour grapes… but I don’t love the way the game has gone with teams bombing and playing for the bat back. You can’t pressure the kicker, touch the guy batting it, have him bump you, or stand anywhere in the vicinity of a chaser without being penalised. It’s not a contest anymore.

It’s like PVL sat down and thought about which play in Rugby League most often needs the bunker, takes the bunker the longest to rule on and provides the highest amount of contentious calls, then changed as many rules as possible to maximise it… but still wasn’t happy so wanted it happening for dropouts snd kickoffs too.

I agree that Hynes and Brailey could have done with the extra 2 weeks, now available, with the way the team had seemed using Puru bros til now
Coming back from serious injury Brailey seemed tentative and not tackling as hard as we are used to
Nicho -Still worried about hammies etc? His kicking never over the 20M mark to their goal line was allowing easy Rooster meters down field. They all appeared to be no more than light taps! Saying all this, I'm sure their next hit out with the team will be much better!
Have to agree. That probably contributed to the winning the arm wrestle. Still, not enough to lose us the game. With our penalties and errors it was more by how many.

I really think we're too conservative in attack, especially with generating second phase play. At one point offloads was 16-4 to them.

Agree and we keep kicking short to the middle not the corners.

A kick or two from the ruck by Brailey may have helped .

I think our strategy of wearing out the opposition and waiting for them to make a mistake doesn't work on the good teams. Not only is our kicking game one dimensional but so is our one-out hit ups. When there is an offload, suddenly we look a lot more threatening.
