My ability to tolerate blocka depends on which commentator they paired him with. Warren Smith always works well with him but obviously hasn't been available this year

Duke's voice just doesn't suit play-by-play seat imo

I watched the tries only…. The way Blocker carried on about the Nikora try and players standing in the line was bizarre, even with the help of multiple replays
That was embarrassing - nothing even close to any obstruction. Clueless ..

Btw, the commentators on Fox were terrible. Was it because it was a ch 9 game they put their D team on?
I can't do fox anymore. I choose the channel 9 coverage over it, which is saying something.

Mind you, ch9 called for a penalty and possible sin bin when we dropped the ball and they passed it wide and Ronaldo caught it. They did realise their error eventually but think it was more they were riding the dargons and got a bit excited.

There many smart some a couple of smart people on this forum so maybe you can help me out.

Yesterday, a Titans plays slips over making Nikora accidently make contact with the head - penalty.

Later, Val and Kennedy both go for a lose ball, resulting in Val's shoulder making direct contact with Kennedys head - incidental contact. I would argue this was more forceful then Nikora's tackle.

So, why cant incidental contact apply when making a tackle?

If you have to call one a penalty and one not I guess you do it that way around.
But I’m with you - contact when a guy just completely falls into you vs contact when a you were going for a ball but the other guy got it first, I don’t see a big difference. Both accidental and tackler didn’t do anything wrong.

Obviously forceful enough you start getting into reckless / duty of care areas. But low force pure accidents? I think we could let those go in equal measure

Yeah, I didn’t mind Jake the first few times I heard him. But he got so many things wrong today and you’re right, Blocker did not help at all.
Jake Duke is so one tone, he seemed so manufactured lol it was just painful
