Just finished game

In couchmans, Egan and Stewart they have a hard working, enthusiastic pack and they came out hitting hard.
I think that and us missing a bit of guidance out there contributed to us being a bit sloppy early.

Really missed Blayke and Hynes - most of our attack came off broken play or individual moments, structured attack was all over the shop.

Will had a rough night with some contested kicks and tough pass for Stoney. Connects brilliantly with Ronnie though, an import at hand in some of our best structured play.

Speaking of Stoney, wasn’t going backwards but did get whacked repeatedly. Like to see forward take runs off him where possible but can’t fault his work ethic and heart.

Brits best game of the year.
And I like burns and Colquhoun in the middle in the modern game.

Yeah mate Burns and Colquhoun really turned us up a level as soon as they came on. I think Burns is severely underrated.

While I was angry in the first half, its hard to remember in the heat of it all that we are missing our two best players at the moment.

Burns seems to have taken Sifa’s place in the middle rotation and deservedly so. I love Sifa and he still has to odd good run but hasn’t had the best season.

Not the first game dragons have started well this season. I think their young enthusiastic forwards starting well compounded how bad we looked early.

Happy for the win but we need to look at the service from dummy half with Puru, balls at people’s knees, balls behind people, balls at people’s head, I know he is a lock really but we looked much sharper with berrill and that looks to be the option going forward

Watched the replay, yeah the first half wasn't anything special but you could tell the boys were still on. It wasn't a horrible first half, yeah mistakes were made but they didn't look too concerned.

There was a sense of confidence and it looked like they knew they didn't have to go too hard for it.

Quality first half. One for the wank bank.

6 errors within the first 20 minutes, any other team would have punished us, but the Dargons were polite enough not to spoil our home game.

Much better second half. Burns (one could add Colquhoun as well) was the spark plug the team desperately needed.

Annoyingly, working today from about an hour before game until about an hour after

Have the age old question of if I keep an eye on score or try dodge spoilers and watch it fresh when I get home…
4 hours on Sunday afternoon? Just ask your John to change channel if the football is on.

I’m glad we fixed some things up in the 2nd half and eventually won against a team that is so bad they could run 19th in a 17 team competition. I understand we were missing 2 of our most important spine members. But our inability to start games is a big problem. Anyone else has 24 on us by halftime. You can’t call it complacency – how could you be complacent knowing you are missing Brailey, Nicho, Katoa and Ramien?

Our efforts in the 1st half were terrible. I think watching the Panthers game before ours really highlighted it. We go into contact in defence with 3 men and struggle the ballcarrier to the ground, often ending up with 1 of our players on their back or stranded in and around the ruck and they just lay there waiting for the play the ball to happen before getting up and back into the line. Penrith get 3 men into a tackle and put everything into driving the ballcarrier backwards. If one falls off, he jumps straight up and retreats into the defensive line ready to go again. We seem to make a tackle and think “job done”. Panthers players make a tackle and think “what’s my next assignment”. The try Gutho setup is a good example, Trindall ****ed about and didn’t do all he could to get back into the line so we got stripped for numbers on a short side and made to look silly.

TLDR: not impressed.

I watched the tries only…. The way Blocker carried on about the Nikora try and players standing in the line was bizarre, even with the help of multiple replays

After the 2nd replay we got the try confirmation and those two obviously didn't get the memo.
This is how Fox manufactures faux outrage and controversy to get enough content for the first 2 days of NRL360.

Yesterday, either Talakai and Kaufusi were the two victims of the 2 hookers rotation or their impact was so minimal that I didn't notice them on screen.
I reckon they both can't wait for Brailey to come back.

Fitz said in the presser they intended to give Sifa a week off for niggles. Wasn't supposed to even be on the bench but then Ramien pulled out.
