Pretty predictable what's going to happen here. The Dogs are terrible but do have a backs to the wall effort in them. They'll smell blood in the water here and come out and ambush us. Because we're too dumb we'll be like deers in the headlights.....again....and get done in a low scoring game.

Both teams can't attack
4-2 With the Dogs scoring a late try shifting the ball around our defence , like EVERY team does EVERY week.

I think this is a big test for Fitzgibbon coaching the dogs are going to come at us hard.Do we stand and fight and show we are a good team or do we fold like we did last night. I feel the season is on the line this week for both sides. We should win but the I think we will **** the bed and the rebuilt can begin. Hopefully the team can recapture some of that form from our semifinal run of last year that would be a pleasant surprise.AFB needs to rally our forwards.

He was focused yesterday. I wonder if he'll be able to string two good games in a row.
He might already be looking for a new team song to not learn/sing.

Hazelton’s too slow for the modern game and Stoney’s putting us on the back foot when he’s got the ball in hand, which is disastrous when we rely on our backs making early meters.

Cam also needs to earn his starting spot, especially after last nights performance. Won’t happen, but I’d love to see us name the following.

1. Kennedy
2. Hiroti
3. Ramien
4. Iro
5. Ronnie
6. Trindall
7. Hynes
8. AFB
9. Berrell
10. Toby
11. Nikora
12. Teig
13. JC

14. Cam
15. Burns
16. Sifa
17. Oregon

I’d be even tempted to give Burn’s his starting spot back over Nikora so we can start the game with a bit of energy in the middle.

In one game, yes. He's been pretty good with yardage otherwise.

Yeah I thought he’d done a lot to improve something that was an early weakness but was definitely back to being a weakness this weekend
It was and you can bet other teams will attempt to follow suit in the coming weeks.

he wasnt alone in getting manhandled. sifa was going sideways and all the other backs got owned multiple times. if everyone ran with sams intent, we wouldnt need to worry

I'll be pissed if Fitz perseveres with Cam running on and JC on the bench.

Yea it should be the other way around with Cam coming on from the bench

Cam isn't the Captain anymore and JC is doing an exceptional job, Cam doesn't need to be a starter anymore

JC only getting around 35 mins, he can handle more

I actually thought Cam came from the bench in his first game back against the Tigers last week but checking the stats seems he started

I guess if Brailey is out Cam might be Captain although I think it should be Wilton who is having a good year / looking to the future

That's got to be our biggest concern though here, if Brailey is ruled out whoever comes in to the 9is going to be a massive step down in quality.

Berrell hasn't quite looked up to it in FG on the very rare occasion has made an appearance and I am including trials too although I'm still kinda curious to see how he would go as he rarely gets a proper opportunity as Blayke plays week in week out

We can't put McInnes in the 9, his hooking days are past him. Whenever he has filled in there his service has been sloppy and inconsistent

Yeah whoever is taking Blayke’s spot if he’s out has a huge job ahead of him.

I do hope it’s not Cam or Berrell for that matter. Hohepa could be a chance or even Riley Jones who’s played a bit of 9 before.

Does anyone know when they decide on Blayke’s HIA appeal?
