Official 2026 NRL General Discussion

For those with Fox / Kayo - the two part Face to Face with Fatty is brilliant.

Sounds like another Mundine. Always someone else's fault.

How about you show some initiative champ and reach out to Laurie if you want some feedback.
I’d say the onus is more on the coach
But he’d definitely be a lot better served reaching out himself than this, and the twitch joke.
Maybe your family needs to stop being in the media for complaining, criminal behaviour, being mysteriously released, looking a lot like they are doing cocaine on a live stream, saying they didn’t sign to a club because they club told them they are a footballer not a gangster.

Barnett first had a racial allegation and then delivered one of the cheapest shots we’ve seen on field for years, but put his head down and rebuilt his reputation in the NRL.
Could be an option instead of complaining publicly people hold your families consistent lows against them.

The only reason I said for May to reach out, is its what I tell my kids.

Eg my son will submit a job application online then wait for them to contact him. I tell him (not that he listens) to be proactive and follow-up with them. You will show initiative and get your name in their mind when they are making their minds up etc.

Interesting convo on Bloke poddy today.
Bennett trains full contact a lot, including in practicing shape / edge-v-edge.
Bellamy does full contact wrestle but most of training is 2 hand touch.

Wonder if a lot more contact in training adds to injuries rabbitohs have?

Do Melbourne have less injuries?

Are those total injury counts based on the Reddit guy?

Not sure if they count against his criteria, but Hassett, Berrell and Fa'atili have each missed a game for the Jets injured/suspended.

They are NRL physio
I imagine he misses guys down the pecking order like that but haven't dug around through his posts enough to be clear.
I'd guess phys is counting missed NRL games, so by his assumption if you wouldn't have played NRL that week anyway, it doesn't count - but yeah, that's my guess.

Did not know there were tables for this!

Penrith must just review video
Penrith have pretty consistently been low on injuries and number of players used as I recall.

Just another factor why every time they bring someone new in they look great, they are always playing alongside the rest of the main NRL players

Yeah I saw it was his post, but I reckon he uses that one as the source (or it is the same guy). Numbers are identical. Also includes a lot of depth guys. E.g. Sharks 51 includes Ison and Niwhai's injuries from earlier in the year, Bulldogs includes Kade Dykes etc.

Oh yeah, looks like numbers match up so must be counting same players
Based on reddit username it doen't look like it'd be same guy, NRL Physio (Brian Seeney) may cross check it, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't keep his own very comprehensive notes

Coates Achilles and done for season

Had been dealing with a tear but it went completely.

Says he was only running about 50% when it went too.
