Official 2026 NRL General Discussion

Feel a touch sorry for Flanno Snr, some keep inferring its his mess given he's been there 3 years. Much deeper systemic club issues imho. Jnr also not deserving of what he cops. Not sure why the young Prop wants out but no Journo linking the recent training misshap in there. Storm be in his ear also methinks( being an original Melb Jnr)

100% agree but he has made some questionable recruitment decisions, as he did with us towards the end.

St George need to focus more on a head of football type role than head coach.

Feels like everything is on Flanno which isn't the way most clubs operate these days.

Sure, sacked Flanno and put Dean Young in there. What's really going to change?

To be honest, that's exactly what you get from Drinkwater. For every 9/10 game, you get one of these.

Majority are somewhere around the 6-7/10.

Personally, I would prefer known and trusted Kennedy. Especially considering Kennedy will be about 400k less.
And while he didn’t specifically have a great night, it’s not like they lost purely because of him. Manly were all over them from start to finish.

Yeah, I can’t believe anyone learnt anything new about Drinkwater last night.
Exactly
Like I said, if you wanted Drinky before last night nothing should have changed!

You want X factor, you get the risks that come with it

In Manly's three wins both Cows and Dolphins have been as bad as I've ever seen any teams play. Disgusting. And then they could have very easily been beaten by St George last week.

I think a reality check for them is not far away.

Manly at home I’d have done it even if not favourites. Who’d have thought they lose Turbo early and still win though
Yeah I was pretty confident in the tip when he hobbled off.

This was my thinking yesterday.

Now without Tom it will get even harder.

Not sure. But they would definitely be better with both of them in the team.
Fair. I think we'll see Turbo in the centres, they really don't have a choice if they want him to stay on the park. Hasn't played more than 20 games for 8 seasons.
