Official 2026 NRL General Discussion

I would find it hilarious if they kept losing but they should persevere with Flanno unless a guaranteed better option comes up imo.

You'd have to be crazy to take this job. Dean Young seems willing to (never recovered from the Inglis hit would be my guess).
They're fast approaching the 'a new voice is needed' stage.

For those that called for Atko over Hynes at times over the last few years - this Dragons debacle has shown how tough the position is.

And this isn't a knock on Atko as I really like the bloke - but when you sign with a club and put your hand up publically as "wanting to be the main man" - be careful what you wish for.

Did he really say this or something similar? I like the confidence. Not a whole lot of self-awareness though, especially given the roster.

Not hard to see why Curtis turned out the way he did.

The 28-year-old former Melbourne Storm and Canberra Raiders player was granted bail with strict conditions after he was arrested over an alleged altercation at the Sydney Cricket Ground in March.

Police allege he and his 55-year-old mother, Dianna Allen, assaulted an 18-year-old following an argument after a Sydney Swans AFL game.

The teen was treated by paramedics for facial injuries before being taken to a hospital.

He noted Scott, like many rugby league players, had the potential to “go by the wayside” after his career ended because the “sugar hit” of the high income had suddenly dissipated.
He went by the wayside well before his NRL career needed to end, don't try and blame that!
