I thought he got told he would not be re-signed at the end of this contract, to which he reacted poorly, and he was then dropped. But like everyone else I suspect I don’t know the ins and outs.

Think it stated in the off season when he was told Crichton was switching sides, or so the story goes.

Latest word (hearsay of course) is
Switched to right and told probably not starting but they ended up letting him play vegas, and has since been both dropped and told they won’t be extending him

A world beater no, but I don’t think he’s played dropped badly. See how his replacement goes I guess. Have to think there is a broader personality issue?

In saying that as much as I do think he’s reacted badly, do understand him not thinking he should get dropped from what he put forward last season and so far this year

Fair enough. I’d bet when Crichton was told he was switching sides he said “no worries”. A bloke like Bronson would have been on a shorter leash given his past you would imagine, and should be happy for whatever opportunity he gets, left or right side. Be interesting to see where he ends up, because it would seem like he feels he has a more favourable card to play.

The bloke they have brought in is no world beater either - inferior to Xerri you would have to say .
As others have said - we don’t know the ins and outs - must be more to it .
I’ve no wrap on Xerri the person at all but it wouldn’t be the first time Gus has pulled off something like this to move him on with something else cooking in the background ..
 
My guess - the Dogs think they can get someone to do the job close enough to as well, for less money. Xerri's been alright but at $500k a season he's not great value.

I'd guess they'll want some money for a fullback upgrade at some point, too. Plus Galvin will need an upgrade soon I think?

He probably thinks he does but don't think he's earned it yet.

the only reason critter would be swapping sides is because he wanted to
